This $15 Face Scrub Is My New Go-To

product review

Exfoliating your skin on a regular basis is without a doubt one of the most important skincare rules. Exfoliating at least once a week will remove the buildup of dead skin cells that can lead to clogged pores, breakouts and dull skin. It’s kinda like washing a car; take off all that dirt and underneath it’s all brand new and shiny. Exfoliating also helps your skincare regimen to penetrate into your skin better, as it’s no longer blocked or trapped by dead skin cells.

The thing is, exfoliating isn’t just about scrubbing your skin as hard as possible, you need to be really careful that you don’t overdo it, otherwise, you can damage your skin. That’s why when I found the new Micro Magic Skin Renewing Microdermabrasion Scrub by Bliss, $15, I was so psyched to share it with you guys. It contains gently exfoliating volcanic pumice, which purifies and cleanses, while gently removing dead skin cells. I honestly love how this feels, the granules are SO tiny, so it’s really invigorating, and because the particles are so small (unlike walnut or sugar), it’s not overly harsh and doesn’t scratch the skin. I use this every weekend, and I love to use it before makeup, as it really smooths and brightens my skin and makes my pores appear smaller.

It also contains kaolin clay, which helps absorb oil and toxins in your pores, while jojoba seed and soybean oil are rich in vitamins and antioxidants to protect and nourish the skin. Finally aloe leaf juice, chamomile and lavender extract work to cool, soothe and soften the skin.

If you have dry or sensitive skin I recommend doing this once a week, while normal, combo, oily or acne-prone skin types can use this twice a week. It’s best to exfoliate in the evening, after double-cleansing and before you start the rest of your skincare regimen. And don’t forget to moisturize afterward!

I hope you guys love this as much as I do – I literally can’t stop touching my face after I’ve done this! Let me know if you’ve tried it in the comments below. Xx
