The BEST Foundation for Breakouts!
PRODUCT REVIEW | MAKEUP + SKINCARE

As you all may know by now, I’m hairy:( And no, not peach fuzz hairy (does that even count), more like king-kong. Okay, so I’m obliviously exaggerating a little bit, but I am one of those girls who has to worry about facial hair. I use to do Laser, which really helped until I got pregnant and it all grew back times 100. The other day, I threaded my face, which I always follow with a aspirin facial to avoid breakouts. This time, for some reason I didn’t and I ended up slathering my face with super thick lotion:( I know, I’m a genius! Needless to say, I broke out, BAD!
It really sucks when you breakout. You want to cover them up, but adding foundation to your face will only make them worse with all the synthetic oils, etc. I have always opted for a powder foundation in times where I had experienced one-to-many blemishes, but never have I ever tried one quite like this! The Clarin’s Everlasting Compact is Amaze!!!! It covers up all your blemishes, can be used wet or dry and their color choices are perfection! They match olive skin as well as pink and yellow pigments, which is really impressive! The best part about using this product is I actually noticed my skin got better after using it. I also loooove the fact that the coverage lasted me all day!
Huda’s Tip: I will admit, when I first applied this, it looked slightly cakey. After letting it sit for about an hour, it melted into my skin beautifully! I do recommend that after applying the foundation, adding a set spray like Urban Decay’s All Nighter for a super natural look that will last even longer!

thank you for sharing Huda can you talk more about how to prevent breakouts from hair removal? i have this trouble too
Huda how do you not get marks from threading? this is what happened for me
Do you recommend using it wet or dry when you break out????
Hey baby! I used it dry and just spray it to set!! Xxx
Huda, I also get this rash like thing all over my face and itch and like you say its either that or the excess hair…what is the aspirin facial to do?
hi huda,
I have a question, where can the urban decay all nighter be purchased at in the UAE?
Sephora
Hi Huda,
whats the aspirin facial? is it only crushing the pills and mixing them with water then rinse your face?
Huda, I looooooooooooooove you and your blog! You style of writing is so relaxed, I always feel like i’m talking to my girlfriends when I read your blog. Thank you for being so open and helpful!
Hey,
That is a wonderful tip, to have an aspirin facial after threading facial hair. I have facial hair, but I am scared of threading, as it causes break-outs. If you could post a tutorial of aspirin facial that would be amazing. Keep up the good work Huda, you are truly awesome!
Huda did a post about the aspirin facial recently! And it really really helps!
You’re a genius!

This post came JUST in time! Massive red big pimples & I have to cover them but feel my regular foundation make things worse.
Thanks a million Hudz
Always wondered, what do you follow the aspirin mask with? Toner and moisturiser? Should you put something calming on it after you wax/thread first and then do the aspirin mask, or go straight into the mask? Thank you!!
Great Question!! Tone first, then use the mask, then moisturizer!
Make sure you to keep your skin calm and cool, by NOT over drying it afterwards! If you notice any blemishes coming up, make sure you use the mask again immediately! It will help keep any blemishes from popping up!
I was talking to my friend who is a pharmacist yesterday about the link between asprin and blemishes. He warned me not to use it on my face as the active ingredient in it is acetylsalicylic acid. Acetylsalicylic acid amount is so high in asprin that it might remove the blemish but will leave a terrible mark. Apparently this ingridient is in warts cream but in way lower amount and he said that he would always warn his patients not to apply it on their face. So asprin should be a million times worse. Those of you who tried asprin mask what was your experience.. Let me know.. Seriously my face is breaking out like mad but I do not after scars.. Hellpppp..
this post is sooo relieving seriously!! i m soooo hairy too and when i do threading on my face it always breaks down and at times it leaves scars that take long to disappear(some dont go away at all)…. do let us know when u find a solution…..
Hi Hudz,
I bought this foundation based on ur recommendation but find that it doesnt cover acne well.
Can u explain or show how to apply this well?
Thanx dear
Hey Huda, I have a tip for you which will help you prevent breakouts after threading. It really works like MAGIC =D
For a week after threading apply “clindamycin ointment\gel”. You can find it in pharmacies. Use it twice daily.
For better results, use an exfoliating face wash during this period too.
I’m not so hairy but I’m so conscious about facial, so I usually thread because waxing makes my whole face swell and I look like a ball; literally!
