I was kind of annoyed when there were a ton of bloggers making fun of Lindsay Lohan for her teeth, which did seem to decaying. Making fun of celebs/people like that is just not something I find amusing, so when I saw that she got some new pearly whites, I was happy for her (especially since she had seemed so paranoid about her teeth, she looked afraid to open her mouth)! This also made me think, we need to keep our teeth and gums as healthy as possible, sooooo here are some tips for a gorgeously healthy smile! Remember, healthy teeth and gums actually encourage a healthy longer life, so make sure you encourage your family, significant other, friends, and everyone you can to take great care of their gums! Tips for a healthy smile:

1. Floss, Floss, Floss!! Flossing is sooo important, and totally underrated! Brushing is said to only clean your teeth around 60%-65%, so flossing is the only way to make sure you don’t get cavities in between your teeth! I can’t tell you how many times I have noticed people don’t floss and sometimes tooth decay between teeth! I only started flossing like crazy a few years back, after my dentist told me I had to!

2. Brush the Right Way! Make sure when you brush, you take your time. Brushing your teeth the right way is essential for proper plaque removal! Always make sure you tilt your brush towards your gums slightly and brush gently!

3. Eat the Right Foods! Some foods actually create a PH level in your mouth that can be harmful for your smile. For instance, eating foods with high acidity levels like vinegar, soda and too much citrus fruit and the like can make your teeth more sensitive to enamel corrosion. There are also foods that promote healthy teeth and gums! Foods with high fiber, like apples, broccoli and celery promote saliva production which will help keep your teeth clean!

4. Chew On This! Chewing sugar-free gum can help encourage healthy teeth and gums dramatically! It also helps produce saliva, which helps keep your teeth plaque free, but it also helps keep your teeth super white!

Remember, smiling is sooo good for your health! It’s actually been proven to encourage happiness and
increase your metabolism, so do what you can to make sure you have a healthy smile! Always remember to visit your dentist regularly and use mouth wash when you can! I love you guys and I really hope you guys follow this! Xxxx

    hun! she had those teeth bcuz of extreme drug abuse!!

    and substance abuse causes that decay seen in the first photo!

    so basically, we should continue to take care of our teeth and keep lindsay’s teeth in the first picture as an example to keep anyone away from substance abuse :)

    Thanks for the article! I really wanna have white teeth, but I’m not sure about the sugar free gum since it contains Aspartame, which is really dangerous for health.

    I do think Lindsey should have kept better care for her teeth she is so young! The blogs were focusing a bit too much on her teeth, it was rather trivial. I have such a hard time remembering to floss, but I do know it’s so important! This post today, looking at Lindsey’s teeth will for sure remind me!
