Is Mirror Fasting a Beauty Must?

Has anyone ever done this? Starred at themselves too much? I don’t do this now, but growing up, I never really thought I was too attractive. I think I changed a hair cut and loved it so much I kept looking at it in the mirror, then I slowly started hating it! It’s a fact, mirror loathing exists, and it starts from spending too much time in front of the mirror! I remember reading some where that a woman, Kjerstin Gruys, who blogged about going A YEAR without looking at herself in the mirror, which I could never do mostly because of my job, BUT it would be probably be one of the best things to do considering most women look at themselves over 35 times per day!
I thought it was really interesting when I read was Kjerstin said about beauty and self esteem
“I’ve managed to better separate my looks from my self-esteem. This is probably the most powerful secret to feeling beautiful.”
Nothing is more beautiful than a confident, happy woman, but it’s a fact, looking in the mirror too much can definitely hurt your self-esteem. The more you look at yourself, the more you seem to notice imperfections. Personally, I have always made sure I don’t look in the mirror too much. I swear I am soooo much happier when I stay off of two things, mirrors and scales! This is definitely a BEAUTY MUST!
