Forever 21′s Face Wipes–Good Buy or Just Cheap?

I don’t know why, but when I first walked into Forever 21 and saw their new beauty line, I wasn’t exactly excited. The packaging was quite cute, but very cheap and I don’t know, the way they were selling it to me just said “cheap”. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good deal and I actually love Forever 21 for cute trendy clothes, but for beauty I am NOT into it! A lot of stores have been doing beauty and it might seem good, but honestly the quality is definitely not there!
So today, I wanted to review the Forever 21 face wipes. In all honestly, they are not bad! The ingredients are decent and they are extremely moist so they get rid of everything. BUT, when they say Lavender and Rose, I was expecting to see those ingredients inside, but there really isn’t any of those ingredients there, just the fragrance. It may not seem like that big of a deal, but ingredients like Lavender and Rose are sooo good for your skin, so why just use the fragrance?
Now my biggest fault with why I don’t like the wipes is it actually seems good when you use it, I mean really good, but afterwards—it’s almost like all your natural moisture is sucked out! It leaves your skin soooo dry! As soon as I used it I checked for alcohol, but didn’t find any, but it was definitely bad! I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, it kind of makes me worry that it’s just one of those products that is cheap, not a good deal!

I am a big fan of Forever 21′s Sheer press powder! It comes in a gold compact and costs $6.80. I usually don’t go for pricey labels when it comes to foundation and cover up creams/powders, so this is a great deal, especially compared to the price and quality of Drugstore brands like Covergirl and Maybeline (tried both). It personally compliments my skin tone and its a great illuminator for underneath the eyes, too.
I agree, it doesn’t interest me either that a clothing store has their own beauty line. I can however understand the concept behind being a “one-stop shop” for their customers. As for why they only use the fragrance of lavender and rose is purely a cost issue. Essential oils are expensive and I’d think these wipes would be fairly inexpensive…and hence the feeling it left on your face afterwards. Best to stick to what we know when it comes to skin I guess
I use the MAC face wipes and i love them, which one do you use?
I felt the same way. I wasn’t attracted to their beauty products at all. i think stores should stick to what they know best.
Thank you for the post.
