I seriously loooove Gel Nails, but my nails have been peeling like CRAZY since I started getting them! Part of it is my fault, I need to give my nails a break in between, but trying to grow my nails out means I need a serious fix to strengthen my nails! My mom is FULL of amazing tips and she always seems to swear by garlic! She actually told me to rub my nails with garlic! I ended up putting a peeled garlic cut in half in my base coat and I swear my nails have finally started to grow again! I was blown away with this super easy tip and my nails finally look better:)

    So what exactly do you put in the base coat? Is it the oil from the garlic?

    I have been doing this for year and it does 100% work.. but there is a garlic odor on your nails :/ I also do a week on and a week off because it does stain my nails a little yellowish

    I put the garlic on at night…last thing before lights out. It stays on longer as there is no hand washing for a longer period of time. Make sure your partner is a fan of garlic!
