I’ve always been a HUGE fan of Ciate, from the first moment I tried their nail polish! Something about their packaging, color selection and quality just had me instantly. I loved their Caviar nails, despite so many mixed reviews (and the fact that it only lasts for about 36.8 hours) and I thought their velvet nails were wicked, but their latest collections have me kind of wondering what’s going on at the Ciate HQ. I still love the brand, but their recent Caviar collection, which debuted color mixes that looked more like a cheap birthday cake than nail art, didn’t exactly have me running to my nail salon to stock up. Now their Sequins AKA Glorified-Overpriced-Glitter-Polish just is NOT doing it for me. So as much as I love the brand (and I really do, the quality is fantastic), I don’t get why such a trendy brand would bottle something like this, I mean why not mini pearls, studs, shapes of some kind, why over done sequins that is available everywhere?

I really cracked up with the “Glorified-Overpriced-Glitter-Polish”. We can just make a DIY with this one, some sequence you like and colorless base coat does the tricks! ;)

I do that as a DIY nail project. I put a coat of nail polish that’s similar to my loose chunky glitter that I purchase for dirt cheap. I then heavily sprinkle the glitter on the nail polish (Usually do it about twice). Let it dry for 15 mins, and then seal it with a top coat. =D
