HUDA BEAUTY | TRAVEL

By Huda Heidi Kattan

Ok my loves! So I haven’t even planned on taking a vacation in a while, since my work load has been insane! Last night I just got the sudden urge to travel! Of course it’s hard to just pick up and leave, but I worked it out to where I could manage 2 1/2 days away! Soooo I am heading to London tomorrow for some much needed chill time!

Here’s the deal, every time I go to London, I usually work or go with my friends! This time, it’s me and my hubby (and my hubby’s NEVER been) with only a couple days trying to get the best out of London! Of course I want to know where the best place to shop for beauty is (naturally), but also where to eat and what’s fun to do! If any of you have any idea, it would be sooooo helpful!! :) I love you all to pieces!! <3<3<3

absolute must : Roka (japanese food in soho) …you book though!

  2. Westfield white city is a beautiful mall. and then of course there are Harrods and selfridges – selfridges has a great beauty and luxury deparrment. AND their shoe department is crazy. in Westfield Stratford you’ll see the Olympic park and Europe s biggest mall. you should try tea tithe Ritz. I’m new to London myself as I just moved here 6 weeks ago so I don’t really know where you’ll find the best places to eat. to sightsee you could take one of those tour busses and jump on and off when you want. hope you have a nice trip. lots of love

Hi I’ve just come across your blog and I’m loving it! I was trying to go through it all in one day ;-p In regards to London – wrap up warm – temprature a are dropping so it’s soooo cold! So any fur coats, fun hats and gloves that you have – now it’s the time to show off! Make sure you visit Covent Garden for some lunch/coffee! London is great and do much to do! Have fun xxx

  6. Go to Westfield in Stratford east London, the newest and biggest shopping complex In London It’s where the 2012 Olympics took place so you can go and visit the Olympic village. Also go to spit fields market in brick land open on Sundays full of vintage shops and stools, loads of food stands also very famous for London street art.

    Have a safe trip :)

  7. 7 Usma

Oxford Street, the best for all shopping needs!! :)

  8. Portobello market for amazing little trinkets, go on saturday (nearest station: ladbroke grove/notting hill gate). Camden town is great on the weekend too! Knightsbridge for harrods and south kensington for the original hummingbird bakery! Westfield shopping centre has all the high street stores as well as designer brands. Nearest station is shepherds bush and while ur there go to Precious About Makeup (PAM), it stocks MUFE and quite a few makeup brands u won’t get in Debenhams or Boots. Oxford St is a must , make sure to visit LV and Victoria’s secrets on New Bond St. Carnaby St/ Soho for cute little shops and restaurants (the main MAC PRO store is there too). Touristy locations are picadilly circus, leicester square.. Edgware road for some great meditteranean cuisine and shisha..

I do realize this list is way too long for 2 and a half days, but hopefully it gives you a few ideas as to how you want to spend them :) enjoy your trip!

Enjoy your holiday! I follow your blog from Paris and absolutely love it! Thank you for all this!
Concerning your holiday, I give you my addresses as I was living in london for 3 years.
For beauty my paradises were the department stores: harrods and Harvey Nicols in Knightsbridge (I give you the name of the underground stations). Next you have in Oxford street (Oxford circus) John Lewis, house of Fraser, debenhams and of course selfridges. For premium and exclusive product you also have to visit liberty near carnaby street (Oxford circus). In carnaby st you can find lovely places for shopping and shops of beauty products.
But shopping won’t fill your belly! I suggest you different restaurants: Sakura (Japanese) behind regent st, busaba eathai (thai) behind GAP of Oxford st,
For Turkish food: ozer in regent st, haz near Liverpool st station. For libanese food, In edgware road (marble arch), al arez And al dar.
Indian food: tayyabs near algate east.

    Enjoy darling !

Hey, i used to go in london so i’m gone try to share my best places ;) )
To do shopping you’ve many places as oxford street, bond street actually, a part of center london, also there are shopping centers as westfield, it’s so big or Harrords . ( for beauty, you’ve got boots, superdrug)
For tourism, i love going to center london of course, going to london eye, big ben, trafalgar square, picadilly, buckungham palace of course, covent garden, leicester square. I also love the area of kensignton ( french and american area) and knightsbridge.
For the food, i only eat hallal, so i go to edgware road in center london, or there are some chinese restaurants in leicester which offer hallal food.
So, voilà that’s all lol enjoy your trip xx

  11. You should definitely watch a musical while you’re there (Lion King, Dirty Dancing, and there’s a gazillion others to choose from).

  12. 12 Steffani

Hey! Its awesome you’re coming to London!!!!! (Welcome in advance! :) ). The best places for make up shopping is definitely Selfridges on Bond Street (everything from Dior to Nars to Bobbi Brown), and on the other floors it has clothes, shoes and every thing you can imagine! For clothes you should check out Westfield (shepherds bush or stratford) they have loads of designer and high street brands as well as lots of little make up stores (mainly make up brands from sweden which are awesome!!) or you can try Camden market which has alot of independent boutiques aaannddddfor food, there are places around bond street, covent garden…anywhere! There are a lot of good restaurants in every corner of London! Hope that helps ! Xx

  13. 13 Steffani

Oh also! For fun things you can check out our museums, go on the london bridge experience (super scary), bike riding on Borris Bikes, site seeing, get a boat on the Thames, also your coming in time for the MENA festival which is a middle eastern film festival taking place over the next month! X

Huda where do I even start? I loooove London, I’m proud to have been born and raised there because we have a LOT to do! I love Dubai too, I’ve visited far too many times but I can’t stay away from London for too long!

With beauty, visit BeautyMART which is on the 3rd floor of Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge; it’s the newest place for beauty in London with an range of amazing products from Bioderma Crealine to luxury candles from Ecoya. It’s such a wonderful store to visit and I work for BeautyMART and would love to meet you there! Other places you could visit is Selfridges’ new Beauty Workshop.

    Enjoy London!!

  16. You’ll be happy to go and shop in sloane square kensington where they have space NK stockists of great brands like chantcaille etc, there’s lovely designer stores at this end of london. Also near the olympic park westfield, you cannot come to london in 2012 n not go to westfield, this “mall” is packed out with the best of all worlds and here you’ll find milan makeup line store kiko! Oxford st and regent st shopping goes without saying! And as for food there’s great places at every corner, but you’ve got to be V.careful cos not everything is halaal as it would laargely be in dubai. This is a misconception loads of khaleeji’s have when they travel abroard, just a reminder tho stay safe! Hope this helps xx ping me/text me if you need anything xx (@lubnaxh)

You have GOT to visit beautyMART in Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge. It’s like a sort of pop-up beauty shop which has been founded by Anna-Marie who is the former beauty director for British Vogue and Millie Kendall who is the founder and creator of Ruby and Millie cosmetics. They have basically just chosen their most favourite beauty products from around the world including MANY drugstore products (which you love) and they have brought them all to this one shop. They are also the ONLY place in UK if I am not mistaken to stock Bioderma so you know it’s THE PLACE to be to stock up on your beauty fix! Hope you have a great time in London. xx

P.S Your blog and yourself are super duper amazing.

  39. You should visit Iceland sometimes. It’s beautiful and has sooo many things to check out! Plus it’s fairly cheap for visitors to buy things here since our currency isn’t very strong at the moment :)

  40. 41 Mary Monroe

  41. 42 ayla

    Hakkassan in mayfair.
    Jaks on Walton Street
    Nazomi in buchamp place……

  42. Ive read ALL the comments. You are there 2 days, ppl act like you have a week :/ NO one has mentioned Savoy Hotel like i said. Skip the Ritz, i promise. Selfridges, yes, products, you prob have time for 1 really nice dinner w/ the hub: Mayfair is the wealthiest, nicest neighborhood. All the restaurants are great. Too many choices make it overwhelming. Im not stearing you wrong. Have a wonderful trip :)
