I am sure you have all seen the picture of Khloe Kardaishian (above) wearing the waist trainer. When I saw the pic, I had to know more: what it is, what it does, etc… Who doesn’t want a teeny tiny waist? This is what I found out.
This is a way to train your waist to be smaller (supposedly you can lose up to six inches) by wearing a constricting garment such as a corset or shapewear. It can produce permanent alterations as the four floating ribs become compressed, changing the shape of the waistline. This trend is really catching on in Hollywood and it is one of the HOTTEST sculpting trends out there right now. Celebrities such as Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian, and Jessica Alba have done this. Some celebs are praising these trainers as a great way to bounce back from pregnancy. Actress Jessica Alba is said to have worn not one, but two corsets together around for three months straight after giving birth.
Sounds great but I have to warn you that there are some risks as well. Long-term use of a corset can bruise internal organs, damage skin and restrict breathing.
- Improves posture
- Smaller waist line
- Reduces Appetite
- Bruises internal organs
- Damages skin
- Restricts breathing
I haven’t tried it. Have any of you tried it? Would love to hear about your experience.
