A gorgeous nude lipstick can be a bit like finding a unicorn,
but the latest Marc Jacobs offering has really impressed me. I’ve always loved the color intensity of his lip products, and these sultry nude and pink tones from the Le Marc Liquid Lip Crème collection are just as dreamy.
What it is: A lightweight liquid lipstick that applies like a gloss with a soft doe-foot applicator.
What it does: It’s formulated with collagen to plump your pout, and has hydrating Brazilian cupuaçu butter (pronounce that if you can!) so that the formula never appears blotchy or cracked for up to eight-hour wear.
What we liked: I love the colors in this collection, they’re so pretty and there’s definitely a shade here for everyone. On, it looks like a lipstick with a subtle sheen, and I think with a lipliner the staying power of this would be great for evenings – although, beware it’s not transfer proof. I fell in love with the ‘Yours to Try’ nude shade – it’s divine – followed closely by ‘Slow Burn’ and ‘Hot Cocoa’.
What we didn’t like: While it definitely didn’t dry our lips, it also didn’t hydrate them – but I kind of liked the feeling of not wearing anything, a bit like a cream. At first, it didn’t smooth on perfectly, but persevere because the color is super consistent and looks and feels much better after the first application – it’s just not one to apply on the go.
