When you’re sitting at your desk all day, it’s easy to put on a few pounds. Not to mention, if your office is anything like Huda Beauty HQ, the constant supply of food is a continual test of your will-power! Don’t get us wrong, we love our curvy selves, and so should you, but we’re all for upping our fitness levels. We spoke to amazing personal trainer, fitness guru, and contributor for Men’s Health magazine, Jeremy Gwyer (check out his IG account, you won’t regret it) to get his top, super-easy fitness tips. Even if you’re as lazy (or as busy) as many of us, we reckon you can still do at least a few of these a day. And DW, you can do these in your heels, skinny jeans, or whatever boujee outfit you’re wearing to the office:

1. Cut Back on Inter-Office emails

If the person you’re emailing works in the same office or even building, get up out of your chair and deliver the message in person. Every minute of movement burns more calories than every minute seated!

2. Take the stairs

Okay, maybe not every floor, but you can do the first five! Stair climbing is one of the most effective ways to tone and shape your legs. If your office is located higher than the 5th floor, every morning, lunch break, and evening, take the stairs from the ground floor to the 5th, then take the elevator the rest of the way.

3. Squeeze your booty

The simple act of squeezing your muscles can help tone and strengthen them. If you can’t get out of your chair due to meetings or important calls, spend five minutes squeezing your butt, leg and abdominal muscles. For example: Squeeze the butt muscle 20 times, then the abs 20 times, then the legs 20 times. Try to repeat this at least five times during the day.

4. Walking Meetings

Instead of sitting around the table of the meeting room, get moving. Discuss the business matters while burning some extra calories! If you have a big office, take a walk around it with your colleague while you ask your questions or give your weekly update. If your office is smaller, then suggest going for a juice or smoothie and get chatting on the way.

5. Drink more Water

… and your metabolism increases! Staying hydrated also helps to keep feelings of hunger at bay and fills up your stomach. Replace your sweetened (or sugar-free) drinks with water, and you’ll lose more weight – period! If you’re not a fan of plain H20, add some fresh lemon or cucumber slices to give it some flavor! Aim to drink at least 2 liters of water a day (see why you should be here), and keep track by always having a bottle of water on your desk. Set yourself challenges – like finishing two bottles of water bottle before lunch, or drinking a green tea every afternoon with one bottle of water before you leave work – to make sure you’re hitting your daily target.
