What’s On Huda’s Desk This Week

Hey my loves! Today’s a little travel edition — these are the products that didn’t leave my side on a recent trip to LA! Point your mouse over each product to learn why I love them!

WOHD 2

1. Guerlain Orchidée Impériale The Longevity Concentrate – One of my favorite concentrates to make skin look really radiant. It’s that secret product you use before a big event. It just makes your skin glow, and gives you this intense hydration that doesn’t break you out. I’ve been using it for several years now. Even my husband uses it!

6. SkinCeuticals Body Texturizing Treatment – This is one of those products people don’t really think about using, but it’s incredible. It’s one of my favorite body products. I have very dry skin, and when people have dry skin like me, it’s not so soft to touch. This helps keep skin smooth and soft by helping it exfoliate naturally. When I get out of the bath, I apply a little bit of oil then this on top. My skin feels much more touchable and evenly pigmented. I use it all over—my legs, arms, and a little on my décolleté.

5. Cinema Secrets Makeup Brush Cleanser – I love Cinema Secrets Makeup Brush Cleaner because it dries so quickly. It’s really great to use between clients and models, or when I’m on a shoot, between, even YouTube videos. I feel like it cleans my brushes for a basic clean. For a more intense clean of course, I’d use a proper brush cleaner. But on days I’m shooting and have models here, I make sure I have this handy. It has enough alcohol to get rid of the bacteria.

2. Collyre Bleu Eye Drops – This helps to make the whites of your eyes whiter. Like super white– it almost gives it a blue tint that makes them look really healthy. One of my colleagues brought this back for me in Paris. It used to only be available in France but now it’s available in the U.S. too – I even spotted it in LA. If you wear contacts or on a photo shoot, and your eyes are tired or even have this yellow-tinge to them, this helps make them super bright.

4. Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil – I wasn’t blessed with good skin at all, but I know how to take care of it. I’m just obsessed with Sunday Riley’s Luna. It’s my Holy Grail product…my favorite of all time! It gets rid of visible pores, and has a little bit of retinol so it improves the texture of skin. I use it only before bed – you can’t use it during the day because it has retinol in it so sun exposure could irritate your skin if you wear it during the day time.

3. Oribe Surfcomber Tousled Texture Mousse – The Surfcomber is so amazing because when you apply it to your roots, it gives you this stickiness that I can’t say is necessarily the nicest feeling…but the body it give your hair is insane! I know this sounds weird, but I think I have a particularly small head so it gives my hair a lot of volume which I need! I ONLY apply it on my roots. If you want, you can apply it all over, but keep in mind it’s a texturizer so your hair might feel a little sticky all over if you do.

What’s On Huda’s Desk This Week: Rose Gold!

Hey my loves!!! Is it at all surprising that my desk is covered in rose gold this week?! It’s seriously has been my biggest inspiration this year. I’m also super excited to officially announce my new collaboration with Formula X on three STUNNING nail polish colors! Roll over the products to read more!

WOHD-rosegold

1. Farsali Rose Gold Elixir – I love this facial oil from Farah Dhukai! It’s just such a light oil that’s not greasy, and soaks right into your skin so it feels really replenished. The formula is just incredible.

2. Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops in Candlelight – This highlighter has such a beautiful finish and is great for people who want to go a little lighter with their makeup. Just stipple it on your cheekbones and any area you want to add a little more of a pop.

3. Formula X #ColorCurators: Huda Kattan Edition– I’ve always loved Fomula X’s polish – they go on so rich and are really long-lasting, so I was easily game to collaborate with them on creating these three colors. The first one is Baroque Babe. The funny thing is I never liked rose gold before, but this year I went rose gold on everything! I just think it suits everyone, no matter what your skin tone. This one has a ton of pink and gold sparkles. The second color is called Date Night. I wanted a really rich, fall color, so I thought something plum with red undertones. The last color is really true to what’s going on this year, and I named it Jetsetter. It’s a gorgeous black that we took and added a bunch of black and silver pearls

4. Anastasia Beverly Hills Stick Foundation – These new stick foundations from Anastasia are super pigmented. I’d recommend it more for oilier skin types. My skin is a little dry, so I just have to prep my skin properly, but the coverage is amazing!

5. Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips Lipstick in Hel’s Bells and Nude Kate – I’m such a huge fan of Charlotte Tilbury…she’s such and amazing person and makeup artist. I love the shape of her lipsticks – it’s so great for application. Nude Kate and Hel’s Bells are two of my favorites from her Hot Lips collection. The nude is just divine, and Hel’s Bells is such a pretty purple. I think purple makeup is just so dope right now, and I love how it contrasts with the nude color.

6. Zoeva Rose Gold Luxury Set Vol 2 Brushes – Why wouldn’t you want these on your desk? I love Zoeva’s brushes but my favorites are their blending and stippling brush. Their blending brush is similar to the 222 from MAC, but just a little more domed and bushier so it picks up product a little more easily and blends much better. Their stippling brushes are really dense which is great for powder, or you can use it for blending cream contour.

7. Huda Beauty Rose Gold Palette – I’m not exaggerating when I say I use it all the time. It’s literally been the only palette I’ve been using for the past three to four months. They’re all just really important colors to me that I use to make all types of different looks

The HudaBeautyxFormulaX collection is at sephora.com and Sephora stores! Make sure to use hashtag #ColorCurators #HudaBeautyxFormulaX on IG if you spot them! I want to see you rock them!

WOHD 2

1. Morphe Brushes The Blushed Blush Palette 9B – It’s so hard to find a good blush palette, and few come close to this selection of nine buttery pinks, peaches, and natural flush tones. The colors are just perfection! It truly has something for everyone.

2. Huda Beauty Samantha #7 lashes – These are one of my favorite pairs of lashes! It’s actually the first hand-designed pair I’ve ever made. I always tell people who are indecisive that when it comes to choosing a false lash, you can’t go wrong with this style. They look incredible on everyone and are ideal for any occasion.

3. Kevyn Aucoin The Sculpting Powder in Medium – This is one of my favorite powders for contouring the nose and jawline. It has this greyish tone that mimics a natural shadow, and is super easy to blend, so I’m always selfie-ready!

4. Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask (half size) – Anyone who follows me will know how much I love a good face mask, and I’m obsessed with this one! It smells like roses! It’s the perfect pick-me-up, especially before a big event. My face literally glows after I use it!

5. iBeauty Skin Brush 21 – I love that this brush gives you that airbrushed look by packing on makeup really well without looking like you’re wearing too much.

6. Yu Ling Jade Small Roller – How adorable is this? It’s like a mini work out for your facial muscles. I love that it helps to improve the contours of your face.

7. Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip Cleanser – This clay-based formula literally cleans our your pores. For someone like me who is constantly experimenting with makeup, I need a heavy-duty cleanser like this one that dissolves every last trace of the day without stripping my skin. What’s On Huda’s Desk This Week

A few of my favorite things…

WOHD - 1

Sunglasses – I’m obsessed with big, mirrored sunglasses like these that I picked up in Korea.

Beautyblender Pro – I love Beautyblenders! Their black one has always been my favorite because it just looks so elegant and more luxurious than the rest.

Huda Beauty lashes in Lana #10 – The Lana lashes are one of our boldest. I think these look particularly nice for somebody who has a strong brow bone like myself.

Suratt Beauty Relevée Lash Curler
– There’s something really cool about the matte black. Suratt Beauty is a brand I really love, and this eyelash curler works particularly well on almond-shaped eyes.

Forever Roses black rose – I’m definitely going through a black phase. There’s something very heavy and rich about it. I have a few of these at the office.

Diptyque Roses candle – All of Diptyques candles smell so soft and pretty. It’s not overpowering and I’m obsessed with the Roses scent. I’ve lived in the States for a long time, and in Dubai for a long time and this floral fragrance I feel works in both areas. It transcends and works wherever you are.

M2 Beauté Eyelash Activating Serum – Funny enough, Revitalash isn’t working as well on me like it used to! This brought my lashes back to life. The only thing is the serum is kind of strong, so you might feel a burning sensation when you use it, which I found a little uncomfortable around my eyes. But it does work in making my lashes super thick. I bought this at Harrod’s during my last trip in London, and liked it so much, I bought three more.

Chanel Gardénia perfume – I love Chanel’s Gardénia particularly because it can stand on its own but is still so light that can also mix well with other fragrances. I have one at home and one on my desk. I bought two by accident. Well, not really by accident…kind of by accident.
