I cannot stress enough how important it is to take good care of your hair! I neglected my hair for months before it looked fried and completely unhealthy! Luckily, I was able to bring it back to life, but it did take a lot of work!! Remember, gorgeous hair starts with taking great care! Make sure you shampoo your hair the best way for your hair type and give your hair some TLC! Here are some tips to keeping your hair healthy and avoiding damaged hair!

Let Air Dry: Even if you plan on blowdrying, let your hair air dry for a few minutes before you begin. Blow drying hair that is completely wet allows for more damage and heat to be transferred to your hair! All that smoke that comes off your hair, is NOT good! No beuno!!

Use Hair Protectors: Using products that protect against heat damage is key! I absolutely love Redken and Kerastase’s Heat Protecting line! It really makes a huge difference when you know your hair will have a protective layer that will help seal moisture in!

Savor Your Do: Try to avoid touching your hair too much after it’s done! This way you avoid adding too many oils to your hair and you can keep it styled as long as possible!  Blowdrying your hair too much, can cause severe damage as well as hair loss! Try to keep blow drys to twice per week at a maximum!
