Since lips have made such a statement this year so far, we had to write about lip trends on the runway. Here are some of the final looks that made our cut from NYFW.
If for any reason, you haven’t heard of him, then you may be depriving yourself of some serious beauty 411. Troy Jensen, the preferred makeup artist of some of the most beautiful women in Hollywood, has worked with starlets including the Kardashian sisters, Megan Fox, Jennifer Lopez, and the Pussy Cat Dolls. Oh, and he’s no ordinary makeup artist–the LA-based whiz is also known for his killer hair and photography skills. Talk about jack-of-all-trades! We are totally crushing Troy!
It’s been a little over a week since the death of designer Alexander McQueen and while the world is still grief stricken, his stocks show an inverse reality. Like most artist, McQueen’s value has gone up. What might be a surprise is the amount. McQueen’s sales have gone up by 1,400%. Although the situation is incredibly sad, the world of fashion will always appreciate his artistic genius.
Nothing is sexier than red rougey lips, and designers clearly agree! At Hervé Léger, United Bamboo, Karen Walker, Vivienne Tam, and Prabal Gurung shows at NYFW this past weekend, the popular designers used MAC’s Lady Danger (the matte orange-red lipstick). Makeup-artist, Stevie Huynh descibes the look as a “strong lip from a minimal standpoint”. This trend is sure to hit from runway to realway, take note diva!
