The Best Palettes To Lock Down THE Color Of The Year

Coral palettes

Every year, Pantone (aka the company who basically runs the color show worldwide) chooses a “color of the year.” Last year it was ultraviolet, and we saw it permeate pretty much every category of the lifestyle sectors ranging from hair color and lip gloss to furniture to bridesmaid gowns. This year’s hue is Living Coral — a rich, warm peach — and the color-loving community is stoked.

According to an interview that Pantone’s VP, Laurie Pressman, had with the Associated Press, they chose this color because they wanted a feel-good hue that lifts spirits. “With everything that’s going on today, we’re looking for those humanizing qualities,” she said. “We’re looking toward those colors that bring nourishment and the comfort and familiarity that make us feel good.”

We can def get behind that, sister. In fact, we’re embracing Living Coral the best way we know how: with makeup. Each of the below eyeshadow palettes put this hue in the spotlight, so enjoy.

Our latest palette in Topaz also plays into Living Coral; it’s a bold-but-wearable nine-piece set of corals, oranges, and reds.
