Since celebs have access to the most famous, and more importantly, qualified glam squads on the planet, we love hearing about the weird makeup hacks they’ve trialed. From Beyonce’s glued brows to Bella Hadid’s revelation about the Japanese beauty hack that involves dunking your face in the water, these hacks are pure genius!

1. Beyoncé

Beyoncé is not intimidated by a beauty hack – she reportedly uses eye cream as a face cream – and so naturally, she has multiple hacks up her sleeves. For her long wispy lashes, she told Allure, “I use Rosebud Perfume Co’s Rosebud Salve, $7, to prime my lashes before curling. It’s like a natural mascara. It makes the lashes hold the curl and look shiny.” This hack is perfect for those no-makeup makeup days when you feel like skipping mascara but still want to have flirty lashes.

Another hack that her MUA, Sir John, revealed to E! News is that he uses the Elmer’s Glue Stick to tame her brows and keep them in place. If you want to try this hack yourself, we’d recommend coating a spooley with glue rather than applying the glue directly to the brow for easy application and to prevent any irritation.

2. Bella Hadid

When we met up with Bella Hadid years ago, she spilled all the juicy deets of a makeup hack she had heard of while in Japan, and it’s kinda crazy… It involves dunking your perfectly caked face into cold water for 10 seconds! However, the hack, named ‘Jamsu,’ does actually result in flawless, long-lasting foundation.

Begin by applying your foundation as usual, then apply a heavy layer of translucent powder all over your face (like you’re baking) and finish by submerging your face in a bowl of water. The crazy thing is? It actually works, and it locks your makeup in place all day long. If you don’t believe us, see the results for yourself.

3. Zendaya

Zendaya’s makeup is always on point but her highlighter game is next level. That’s all thanks to a drugstore hack that uses the celeb-fave ointment Meghan Markle loves. Zendaya confessed; “I dab Aquaphor Healing Ointment, $14, where I want my highlight to be. Then I put my highlighter on top, and boom!”

Meghan Markle’s makeup artist, Daniel Martin, told E! News that he uses the ointment to give Meghan’s skin a radiant yet natural finish, “Aquaphor will give you that same [skin-like] texture, especially in a photo [when applied] on the high points of the face.”

4. Selena Gomez

Bomb highlighter isn’t the only makeup hack that involves the Aquaphor drugstore balm; Selena Gomez’s go-to MUA Hung Vanngo also uses the ointment to create a rich crème eyeshadow. He explains “My best and only makeup trick is mixing powder eyeshadow with Aquaphor to create a cream shadow. You can also do this with a powder blush to create a cream blush.” Check out Hung Vanngo’s fave products.

5. Margot Robbie

If your foundation has a tendency to gather around the hairline, try Margot Robbie’s simple hack. She told Harpers Bazaar UK that she either uses an eyebrow brush or a toothbrush to comb foundation out of the hairline, otherwise, it looks “gross.”

Even celebs breakout and Jessica Alba’s pimple-concealing makeup hack is the bomb. Jessica’s MUA reportedly applies the NYX Professional Makeup Proof It Eyeshadow Primer, $7, on top of a breakout to smooth the surface, allowing for easy makeup application that also helps the makeup stick to the skin so that it’s long-lasting.

For a natural lip gloss, Mariah Carey, AKA one of the most glam celebs on the planet, keeps it simple and applies peppermint oil to her lips. Not only does it hydrate and nourish the lips but peppermint is proven to boost circulation, which gives a plumping effect. Look for a cold-pressed organic oil for the best results.

Miranda Kerr doesn’t waste her money on eyelash curlers, she uses a metal spoon instead! Just place the spoon on your lid so it cups the natural curved shape of your eyelid and then apply your mascara. It also makes sure you never get any mascara on your lid, plus it’s the perfect solution for when you’ve left your curlers at home.

One tip Emma Watson learned from the pros is how to fix mascara mishaps – yes, even celeb MUAs slip up from time to time! Instead of wiping it away with her finger and smudging it further, Emma dips a cotton ball into her foundation so it removes and conceals the mascara simultaneously.
