The Met Gala is like the SuperBowl of the fashion community, it’s THE event, THE red carpet, THE fashion moment of your life – for anyone who is lucky enough to be invited, of course. The annual event is actually a fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute and each year there’s a different fashion theme that invitees have to dress up in. This year’s theme was Gilded Glamour inspired by the Gilded Age of the late 1800s. Just like the controversial era (think: corruption, wealth, and everything in abundance) this year’s theme caused quite the stir.

This week, our not-so-guilty pleasure has been feasting on MET Gala content; everything from analyzing who did and didn’t respect the theme to the best lip combos and viral moments. And obviously, while we’ve been overloading on Met Gala gossip, we’ve kept our eyes peeled for all the best affordable beauty products, which we had to share with you all. Thank us later…

Gigi’s MUA Erin Parsons combined an array of drugstore and luxe beauty products to achieve this showstopping look, and as all good MUAs know, flawless makeup starts with well-prepped skin!

To prep her skin, she used the bliss Eye Patches, $4, followed by the Bright Idea Serum: Vitamin C + Tri-Peptide Collagen Protecting + Brightening Serum, $28, and the Rest Assured Eye Cream, $22, to take down any inflammation.

Now moving on to the highlight of her look – that killer ombre red lip. First, Erin lined her lips using the Maybelline ColorSensational Lip Liner in 153 Divine Wine, $8, before layering the Maybelline Vinyl Ink in Wicked, $9, to the outer areas of the lip, and applying the Maybelline Vinyl Ink in Red Hot, $9, to the center.

Meg Thee Stallion doesn’t come to play when she slays a red carpet beat. And, of course, as a Revlon partner, her entire look was created using Revlon products.

According to her MUA Lauren Child, “For Megan’s Met Ball look we were inspired by liquid medals and whimsical glamour.” She continues, “We used molten metal shades on her eyelids, surrounded by midnight black eyeliner, accentuated her dreamy skin with even more bronzes and golds, and finished with a classic nude lip.”

Check out the caption on the Instagram above to see every. single. product. used. Our top picks include the Colorstay Looks Book Palette in Original, $8, and the Super Lustrous The Gloss, $10.

My skin has always had a mind of its own (especially in my armpits which get particularly dry for no reason LOL) and CeraVe saves the day every. Time.”

So, of course, for the Met Emma’s MUA went to work with the CeraVe Hydrating Cream-to-Foam Cleanser, $16, followed by the CeraVe Hydrating Toner, $10, to remove any dirt and residue.

As for moisture, he used the CeraVe Ultra-Light Moisturizing Lotion, $19, to plump her skin without leaving it looking greasy under makeup.” The beauty pro topped off Chamberlain’s skin prep with a dollop of the CeraVe Eye Repair Cream, $18.

He opted for Mario Badescu’s Cleansing Oil, $16, and Buttermilk Moisturizer, $18, to protect and hydrate Jonas’s skin.

For her skin, she combined the powers of  L’Oréal Paris Infallible Fresh Wear Foundation, $16, and Infallible Fresh Wear In a Powder, $16. Then, to create her dazzling eye, her MUA used the Color Riche La Palette Nude 1, $20. Excuse us, while we run to the drugstore.
