If you’ve yet to bear witness to the beauty of wavy nails, it’s a form of nail art created with freehand wave designs, which can vary from large curvy patterns to intricate swirls. Often, each nail is slightly different, which leans towards the mix and match trend that’s also popular right now. We love that this trend is so easy to personalize and play with. You can totally switch it up depending on your mood and experiment with different color patterns; you can keep it subtle with nude tones or be bold and play with color.

The best part? As it’s a freehand nail design, each nail doesn’t need to be the same, so it’s a *relatively* easy DIY. Take this white wavy design as the perfect example – no line thickness is the same and there are random curves, and yet it looks so chic and polished.

Top tip: Each wave should flow with ease, so start in one corner of your nail and sweep the brush as you arrive at the other side, curving as you go.
