Young and Overexposed?

VOGUE PARIS | PHOTOSHOOT
By Huda Heidi Kattan

Vogue
is without doubt one of my favorite magazines and yes, they are known for their controversial and sometimes slightly offensive photoshoots, but art is always intrepreted in different ways. In a recent shoot, Vogue Paris has done a series of extremely fashionable shoot with children. Now, I personally think there is nothing wrong with the photos (aside from one where the girl is lying down on the bed), most beauty pageants are worse. But what do you guys think? Illustrating the most recent tragedy with BP’s inexcusable oil spill disaster,  Steven Meisel shot a model imitating the animals that were victims to the spill. As much as I love Meisel’s work and the magazine, this is just a bit too much for me! I was really saddened by the photos of the animals I saw. What do you guys think? Is this creative or cruel?Continue reading
