Okay, so I recently started getting grey hairs, and although there’re barely any, I still like to hide them. My hair is naturally very dark, so not only do any greys stand out, but I just love intensifying the color so that it’s super black. Honestly, the Bigen Permanent Powder Hair Color, $5, is the best I’ve tried and I’ve been using it for years now. What’s really unique about this hair dye is that it comes in a powder formula, so you only need to add water, (however, it is very important that you do not inhale any of the powder as it can be dangerous for your health*). This also means you can mix up as much as you need without wasting lots of product. So if you’re only doing your roots, you can just use a small amount.

How To Use The Bigen Dye
Wash your hair 24 hours before you dye your hair to remove any oil build-up. Grab a non-metallic bowl (or use the plastic mixing tray provided) and carefully mix the powder with warm water in the quantities specified until it makes a thick paste. Using the applicator, apply it from root to tip to dry hair, working the hair dye into the hair. Leave it for 30 minutes if you have natural hair and 15 minutes if your hair is permed or relaxed.
*My loves, always be careful when using any new product, especially hair dye, which can cause allergic reactions and other side effects. It’s important to follow directions as there can always be risks with chemical products, so always read the product packaging carefully. Before using the Bigen Hair Dye (or any new product) do a small patch test to check the formula doesn’t react to your skin. If you’re pregnant or breast-feeding avoid using this hair dye as the formula contains sodium perborate, which could have serious side effects. If you are pregnant or breast-feeding and you do want to dye your hair, consult your doctor for their suggestions on products that are safe to use while pregnant or nursing as you should avoid all chemicals especially during your first trimester.
