Beauty trends… Love them or hate them, subscribe or ignore, you can’t deny they continue to sway our makeup routine. And that’s undoubtedly the case when it comes to brow trends, which have come full circle from the infamous thin brow – yes, it’s trying to make a comeback. Admittedly, we love trying new brow trends as they have the power to completely transform your look, from a bleached brow adding a grunge element to a high arch serving a Y2K twist. If you love to experiment with your arches as much as we do, check out the brow trends that will continue to dominate 2022.

1. Bare Brows

People are embracing their natural everything this year and that includes brows. Expect to see untouched barely-there brows on all your fave It girls, if you haven’t already. It’s minimal, clean, and super natural.

Of course, when it comes to achieving the look, the method is simple: do nothing. Allow your brow hairs to run free and enjoy the beauty of your natural arch. If you can’t help yourself, a little clear brow gel will keep them in place and add a little definition.

2. The Slender Y2K Brow

Okay, so we’re not going as far to suggest you opt for a micro-thin brow this summer, however, a more slender brow with a defined high arch is definitely making a strong case ATM. With celebs like Doja Cat, Riri, and Bella leading the trend, it’s no wonder the beauty industry, especially beautyTok, is obsessing over the look.

To get the look, instead of picking up the tweezers, simply fake the trend using a full coverage concealer and a brow pomade. Apply the concealer to your brow to create a clean canvas for application and then create the faux-slender shape. We’d then recommend using a brow pomade like the Maybelline TattooStudio Brow Pomade, $13, and a flat dense brush to create the shape. Oh, and don’t forget to clean up any edges and add definition with concealer.

3. Bleached Brows

Grunge girl beauty is clearly going nowhere this year, and neither is the bleached brow. In the past year alone we’ve seen celebs like Kim K and Lizzo dip their toe in the trend and we’re low-key obsessed. We also saw it on the runway this past fashion month and on the FROW. And TBH, we’re not surprised as the brow look pays homage to Y2K era and late 90s, which the world can’t get enough of.

While it may feel like a major commitment, if you dare to experiment, you’ll realize it’s often a quick-die job to achieve the look, and then when you’re ready to return to your natural hue, simply die them back. You can also fake the look with a bleach brow tint like the Sensorium Beauty Brow Engineer (in Platinum, Bleached, or Ash), $17. Check out MUA Danielle Marcan’s video above to see the look in action.

4. The Straight Brow

Delivering an instant eye lift, the pin-straight brow is such a transformative on-trend brow shape. Stemming from Korea and sported by celebs like Kendall, it focuses on a full brow, minimal arch and a subtly lifted tail. To achieve this shape, do not overly pluck the arch and keep the line from the front of your brow to the tail as straight as possible.

5. Fluffy & Natural Brow

While the laminated look begins to simmer down but not fizzle out completely, you’ll notice the rise of a full, fluffy brow. It’s feathered and is reminiscent of a laminated brow, but it isn’t as glossy. Instead, it’s more textured and natural. To achieve the look effortlessly, check out our fave products for full, fluffy brows.
