If you’ve been considering getting a little work done, but happen to be a big-time wimp in the pain threshold department (don’t worry, #same), then the most tolerable options are the non-invasive ones. Whether you’re looking to tighten up the bod, soften the appearance of stretch marks or scars, smooth out any rolls or fix an excessive sweating issue — there’s a treatment for that. And the best part is, these treatments require little to no downtime and aren’t scary AF, like their invasive counterparts can be. So, while you’re totally gorgeous “just the way you are” (as one dashing Mr. Darcy once told Bridget), here are five treatments that are trending right now:

1. TruSculpt 3D

If you’ve ever heard of Coolsculpting and SculpSure, then you’re probably familiar with non-invasive treatments that contour the body and melt fat at the same time. The newest one to take the med spa industry by storm? TruSculpt 3D. “TruSculpt 3D is a modern, non-invasive alternative to fat freezing and even works where liposuction is not optimal, like the inner thighs,” explains Gerald Imber, M.D., renowned plastic surgeon and director of the Youth Corridor Clinic.

And since TruSculpt 3D is based on radio frequency heat, rather than freezing, you don’t need to worry about loose skin left behind where fat once was, since it’s literally melted off. “Radiofrequency heat destroys fat cells and tightens skin in the process, and this technology also takes less time than other body sculpting treatments available,” adds Dr. Imber. Another plus? It’s not painful and feels more like a hot stone massage during the 15 minutes it takes to treat each area. You’ll also be able to see results in about three months time (post sculpt), and you won’t experience any downtime. Now that’s skincare science we can get behind.

Average cost: $750 per area

2. miraDry

“miraDry is the first FDA-approved non-invasive device to permanently remove sweat glands and odor glands from the armpits and we’re already seeing a huge demand for sweat-reducing treatments,” says plastic surgeon David Shafer, M.D. of Shafer Plastic Surgery & Laser Center. If you’ve got pits that just won’t quit (AKA Hyperhidrosis, the medical term for excess sweating) one proven and very effective treatment in the past has been Botox. The only issue with Botox is it requires treatment every 4-6 months.

“Even for people with normal amounts of sweat, the miraDry treatments are a godsend for those embarrassed about sweat stains on their work clothes or when out socially,” adds Dr. Shafer. miraDry offers a permanent solution as a one-time treatment with minimal downtime, and the entire appointment is less than an hour (with each armpit taking about 20 minutes. As for any cons associated with the treatment, there is slight soreness for about 24 hours and mild swelling for 1-2 weeks, but no pain, no gain #amiright? Not to mention no more deodorant or antiperspirant? Best news ever.

Average cost: $2,300 per session

3. Secret RF Microneedling

Another treatment you’ll be seeing a lot more of this year is Secret RF, which combines the surface rejuvenating benefits of microneedling with the collagen promotion aspect of deep radiofrequency heat. “This is the most effective treatment for reversing and removing stretch marks,” says Dr. Imber “And when looking to diminish scarring you need to reach a depth within skin where it matters — the Secret RF treatment can reach up to 3.5 millimeters.”

As for how it works, micro-wounds are made within skin using insulated, gold-plated needles that deliver the radio frequency heat, and as these wounds heal, skin is rejuvenated, improving tone and texture and consequently reversing the signs of aging. Sign us up! Now onto the fine print: downtime ranges between 24 and 48 hours (but varies for every patient), the entire treatment takes about an hour depending on the size of the area being treated. Numbing cream is applied 20 minutes before the treatment so you can rest easy before you get it done, and the computer integration in the device makes it safe for all skin types.

Average cost: $1850 per session

4. Kybella

According to RealSelf chief medical officer and New York plastic surgeon Lara Devgan: Kybella (deoxycholic acid or Belkyra) is an injectable enzyme that permanently dissolves fat — particularly under the chin, but it has become hugely popular for body indications. “I’ve used this treatment to reduce fat in the bra rolls, the back rolls, the lower abdomen, and the inner and outer thighs,” she says. The one downside? Kybella requires 1-6 sessions, but results last forever, so it’s sort of a tradeoff in our book.

Average cost: $1,350 per session

5. Sculptra

If you’ve tried every possible cream, high-tech tool and treatment out there to banish cellulite without any luck, consider Sculptra. “Sculptra has become incredibly popular in my practice because it’s a no-downtime injection that slowly grows collagen over the course of months, so patients feel natural and normal looking as their bodies improve,” says Dr. Devgan. Another reason to try it — aside from the whole dimple-free booty thing — Sculptra also adds thickness to thin, ‘crepey’ arm skin, and softness to the décolleté when it experiences tissue atrophy, aka any lines on your chest will be gone.

Average cost: $1,950 per session
