Mercury Retrograde: Our Most Stunning Palette Ever!

I cannot tell you guys how EXCITED I am to show you this palette! This has to be our most amazing eyeshadow palette to date and my all-time fave! Our new, out of this world Mercury Retrograde palette was inspired by the stunning teal, purple and pink colors in Crystal AB, which I’ve literally been obsessed with since I was a kid. The colors are so beautiful and fuse perfectly with four amazing textures, from the most buttery mattes and a popping glitter to high shine metallics and our super unique multi-reflective shadows.

I love that you can create endless makeup looks with this palette, whether you want to be bold and playful or pretty and low key. I’m SO happy that this vision is finally ready to share with you guys.

The Formulas

My team and I worked SO hard on perfecting these formulas! We reformulated the rare pigments and textures over and over again until we managed to get max creaminess and even color payoff to make sure they were easy to apply and really popped on the eyes.

9 Buttery Mattes:

Shades: Utopia, Off Balance, Vortex, Hot Mess, Libra, Crash, Karma, Momentum, Haze

These butter-like matte formulas feel intensely smooth while giving extreme color payoff with super-rich pigments. The ultra-thin, smooth formula glides on evenly and adheres effortlessly to the skin thanks to a water-repellent combination of unique ingredients.

6 High-Shine Creamy Metallics:

Shades: Cosmic, Galaxy, Supernova, Ultraviolet, Mercury, Frazzled

These high impact metallics are saturated with pearls to give insane, other-worldly reflection while the creamy texture allows the formula to adhere easily to the skin.

1 Glitter Powder:

Shade: Nebula

This stunning glass powder is infused with galactic silver glitter for galactic light reflection! The gel-like texture helps it cling to the skin with no fallout.

2 Sheer Multi-Reflective Shadows:

Shades: Supermoon, Gold Glitch

A sparkling mosaic of chromatic pearls that blend on application to create a stunning multidimensional glow.

The Inspiration:

I really wanted the colors and the textures of this palette to feel as out of this world and as ethereal as the inspiration for the palette. Crystal AB actually stands for Aurora Borealis, which is another name for the insane Northern Lights display and the reason the crystals were given their name, as the prismatic colors of Crystal AB look just like the famous colorful night sky display. Everything from the glistening pinks and purples and unique teal colors that Crystal AB and the Aurora Borealis are synonymous with are reflected in our multi-dimensional palette.

Making Mercury Retrograde

True story: It turned out we were making our palette during Mercury retrograde (typically a chaotic time) and as soon as we realized, we knew there was no better name for this space-inspired palette. So, although the period during Mercury retrograde can feel crazy (find out why here), this palette is the perfect way to express yourself and let your creativity and self-expression run riot.

How To Apply Mercury Retrograde:

1. Start by building up your base with matte shadows.
2. Pick-up the metallic shades using a dense fluffy brush, and in small circular motions, apply on your lids for a metallic finish.
3. Build an extra layer using your fingers or a sponge brush for an extreme foil effect.
4. Add some pop using the glitter powder or top-up your look with the multi-reflective shadows for a pearlescent glow.
