This TikTok tutorial created by Megha Singh left us majorly impressed! For this fire lifting effect, all you need is a concealer that’s two shades fairer than your skin tone to create a contrasting shadow.
In the tutorial, Megha uses a brightening concealer to accentuate the natural contours of her face. She swipes the concealer under the outer corner of her eye, in the inner corner, as well as next to her mouth, around her nostril, and underneath her cheekbones to reverse contour. You’ll also notice that she applies the concealer in an upwards direction towards the high points of her face to exaggerate the lifting effect.
After blending out the concealer with a makeup sponge, you can clearly see the contrast between the side with concealer and the one without!
Opt for a concealer with a slim doe-foot applicator to get greater precision. Celeb MUA, Erin Parons, recommends the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer, $7, which she tells us is, “super easy to blend and provides medium to full coverage without caking or creasing.” She also adds that “It dries to a satin finish, which keeps the skin fresh, so you never need to set it with powder. Dab on only a tiny amount with your fingertips for flawless skin.”
Another concealer that works perfectly for this hack is the Benefit Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer, $22, as it has a precision tip and offers matte, full-coverage that’s crease-resistance and lasts up to 24-hours.

Our top tip: To take this hack to the next level and intensify the coverage of your current concealer, apply the formula just like Megha, then leave it for between one to two minutes before blending it out with your damp makeup sponge. This ‘drying time’ allows the concealer to start setting into your skin, which means that when you go to blend, it’s almost semi-dry and will provide more coverage, and will last longer throughout the day.
