On Wednesdays, We Wear Pink... Powder, Concealer & Blush!
Move over, Veri Peri, there’s a new hue living it large… Pink! Pink was in full force on the runways this year, making her the coveted color of the season. Naturally, it was only time before pink entered the beauty chat. And you’ll be surprised to learn that it’s not just showing up on your lids and cheeks in the traditional sense of a color trend, it’s actually being used to brighten your complexion in a really clever way!

Celebs and their MUAs (most famously, Kylie Jenner and @makeupbyariel) are continuously experimenting with soft pink undertones and we’re loving it. Thanks to color science, the rosy hue will brighten more effortlessly than warm-toned complexion products, while leaving you with the most stunning rosy glow. Of course, TikTok has created countless hacks and come through with the top pink product picks. Allow us to show you *everything* this shade can do. She certainly deserves to be worn beyond Wednesdays (sorry, Karen).
Let’s look at the science for a sec’ – pink sits opposite blue and green on the color wheel, which means pink makeup formulas can counteract any bluish-green hues, shadows, or dark circles for a brightened, rosy appearance. Here’s how to werk it into your routine.
1. Pink Concealer
@roseandben This is going to go viral..end of story 👏🏻💗 #pinkpowder #pinkcorrector #viralmakeup ♬ original sound – Rose Siard
If you want to combat dark circles, layer a pink color corrector over your usual concealer – it works wonders. TikToker and makeup guru Rose Siard suggests to first apply your go-to concealer to the undereye area (using a little less product than usual to avoid creasing). Then grab a pink color corrector like the Exa High Fidelity Balancing Color Corrector, $27, apply, and blend out with a damp makeup sponge. Finish by setting your undereye with a dusting of pink powder and get ready for the brightest under eyes of your life!
P.S. For medium to deeper skin tones, you can also play around with peach or orange color correctors for a brightening effect if pink isn’t your vibe.
2. Use Pink Powder to Brighten Undereyes

Pink powder is receiving a lot of love RN thanks to its brightening abilities. In fact, our new Huda Beauty Easy Bake Loose Baking & Setting Powder, $34, in the shade Cherry Blossom is the reason behind this re-sparked interest in pink powder’s incredible brightening effects. It instantly cancels out dark circles for a flawless soft pink undereye.
To get the look, dip a damp makeup sponge or powder puff into a pink-toned powder, then gently press it onto the undereye area and any other place you’d like to brighten or set. Depending on the finish you’re looking for, allow it to bake for three to five minutes, then dust off the remaining powder with a large fluffy brush. Or, if you’re using a puff, simply press the powder into your skin using a light dabbing motion.

If you don’t have a pink-toned powder, you can DIY your own with a translucent powder and a powdered pink blush. Grab a damp makeup sponge and dip it into the blush, followed by your go-to translucent powder. Then, apply it to the undereye as usual. Sweep off any excess and you’re done!

Blush made a cheeky comeback last year and countless TikTok trends ensued. Our fave is ombré blush, which involves applying a lighter shade to the apples of your cheeks, followed by a deeper blush hue at the top of your cheekbones. It instantly snatches, to give you a contoured rosy glow without a need for contour or bronzer.
Our Huda Beauty Cheeky Tint Blush Stick, $25, is perfect for this trend as there are five buildable shades to play with! Not to mention, they blend like an absolute dream and have a gorgeous dewy finish.
Finally, don’t forget to blend your blush all the way up to your under-eye area to nail the look:
