Fillers have an almost immediate effect and depending on the formula and area they’re injected, they can last from months to years. The most popular types of filler are made with hyaluronic acid, like Juvéderm and Restylane, and these look more subtle and can last between three to 12 months, in which time the body will gradually absorb it. It’s also reversible, so if you don’t like the effect, the enzyme hyaluronidase can be used to dissolve it. Permanent fillers like Bellafill or Sillicone can also be used.
