5 Smart Ways Influencers Use Fillers
It’s easy to think when you’re scrolling down IG that everyone is perfect. Even if you know most selfies have filters or a little Facetuning (guilty!), we still find ourselves pouring over our fav influencers pics wondering if a good contour will magically get us there. But actually, there might be more going on behind their flawless faces than you think. Now, we’re not saying all influencers have had fillers, but like us, they get the DL on all the coolest new filler hacks for maximizing their features. Cosmetic surgeons are now becoming so creative with the ways they use fillers, that they can make small changes to manipulate the face, and they actually make a HUGE difference!
Fillers have an almost immediate effect, and depending on the formula and area they’re injected, they can last from months to years. The most popular types of filler are made with hyaluronic acid, like Juvéderm and Restylane, and these look more subtle and can last between three to 12 months, in which time the body will gradually absorb it. It’s also reversible, so if you don’t like the effect, the enzyme hyaluronidase can be used to dissolve it. Permanent fillers like Bellafill or Sillicone can also be used.
Check out five of the latest filler treatments that influencers use to be selfie-ready 24/7 – trust us, among HB HQ we’ve tried them all:
The Chin Enhancer
Cost: $1,500 – 3,000
A strong chin can redefine a face and enhance the shape, which is why a lot of people are now opting for fillers in their chin. The procedure itself only takes around ten minutes and the effect will last around two years. If you’re not sure whether you want to commit to the procedure, you can always trial the treatment using saline fillers, which will demonstrate the finished look but will only last five minutes. The saline fillers tend to cost around $200-400, which is then (normally) taken off the procedure if you do wish to go through with it.
The Non-Surgical Nose Job
This can make such a difference to your side profile! The procedure will only last fifteen minutes and you’ll enjoy the effect for roughly six months. The recovery is also exceptionally quick, as usually, the only side effects are a little redness and practically no swelling, which is why it’s often referred to as the ‘lunchtime nose job’. Ensure you choose a surgeon who’s experienced and highly qualified, as it’s one of the riskiest procedures, due to the fragility of the nose. If too much filler is injected into the nostril, you can cut off the blood supply to your skin.
The Jaw Job
This method of using filler is so clever! The surgeon will insert fillers into your cheeks and cheekbones, which tightens the skin, therefore lifting your jawline, correcting any sagging skin, and making it more pronounced and defined. Alternatively, you can still have the filler inserted into your jaw for a more drastic effect, like the woman above. Both forms of the procedure are super quick and shouldn’t take longer than fifteen minutes, and will last around six to four months.
The 15-Minute Face Lift
This procedure can take five years off in just fifteen minutes, as it instantly lifts the eyelids, making you look younger and a lot less tired. The doctor will begin by inserting the filler into the forehead to re-establish the weight of the brows and the lid, as when it’s too thin, the lids and the brows fall, making the skin around the eye sag. By adding more wight to this area, you’ll instantly lift this droopy skin off the eye giving your face a much more youthful look.
The Foot Filler
When it comes to high heels, for most of us, it’s a love-hate relationship: you love how they look but you hate how much they hurt your feet. So to relieve that pain doctors have now started to inject the balls of your feet and toes with filler. The filler will basically add more cushioning to your feet so that you can wear high heels for a prolonged period of time. With this ten minute treatment, you’ll be able to dance the night away, pretty much pain-free for approximately six months.
