skin

We get it, facial oils can feel scary! But the truth is, incorporating a facial oil into your routine can be seriously transformative – just check out these five reasons why! Having experienced the incredible powers of rose oil, we decided to create a magic oil that would have all the amazing benefits of rose oil but work for all skin types and also target a multitude of skin concerns. So we created our WISHFUL Get Even Rose Oil with a combo of 15 incredible oils to nourish, hydrate, and improve skin texture and even out skin tone.

To make sure you guys have everything you need to confidently include Get Even Rose Oil in your skincare routine, we’ve put together all the questions we’ve seen you asking on social!

Can I use Get Even Rose Oil on oily skin?

Get Even Rose Oil is suitable for ALL skin types, including oily and combination skin types. Oily skin can often be exacerbated by excessive cleansing or harsh ingredients that strip the skin of its natural oils. Adding an oil to your routine can actually help to balance and rehydrate your skin and curb the overproduction of sebum that can lead to breakouts or blackheads.

Our Get Even Rose Oil also contains Jojoba Oil, which is an incredible oil that mimics your skin’s sebum, therefore helping to control oil while maintaining your skin barrier to lock in moisture.

Can I use Get Even Rose Oil on Pimples?

We have tested this formula on all skin types, and this formula is also non-comedogenic (doesn’t clog pores) and non-acnegenic. While we have used this on acne ourselves with no adverse reactions, everyone’s skin is different, so we would recommend doing a test patch first or discuss your specific case with a dermatologist or doctor to help you choose the right products for you.

Check out this story from one of our beautiful team members who used Get Even Rose Oil on her hormonal acne breakouts.

“I’m Afro-Caribbean and in 2007 I was diagnosed with PCOS and suffered hormonal imbalances. I noticed I started to develop a bad case of adult acne. I tried so many different 3 step programs that were advertised on tv and they just never worked. My skin is way too sensitive and I always end up getting rid of the products after a few uses. I’ve went to dermatologists for skin peels and very expensive creams for my high pigmentations. NOTHING WORKED! At this point I just gave up and depended on high coverage foundation and concealer. Before the pandemic lockdown I was given samples of the Rose Oil to trial only for amount used after a few weeks. I had no intention of using the product so often as I mentioned I was so OVER skincare routines. It wasn’t until then I noticed a DRAMATIC change in my skin. People were commenting on how soft and even my skin looked. The dark acne spots on my cheeks literally disappeared after 1-2 months of daily usage (I was beyond SHOCKED). I never thought I could go out without wearing makeup and being so comfortable in my skin. Writing this testimony has literally brought tears to my eyes. Thank you WISHFUL!” – our stunning Niki #skinjourney Age: 34 Skin Type: Oily

Will Get Even help with post-pimple marks (post-inflammatory pigmentation) and dark spots?

We have seen incredible results! The oils found in Get Even, like Baobab, Macadamia and Soybean, are celebrated for their rejuvenating properties, which encourage cellular turnover. This has been known to lead to a reduction in the visible appearance of scars and PIP. The formula also contains Carrot Seed Oil and Rosehip Oil, which are celebrated for their skin tone-evening properties.

Where do I use Get Even Rose Oil in my routine?

where to use get even in your routine

Right at the end after your moisturizer; the only exception is if you’re using SPF or our WISHFUL Honey Balm Jelly Moisturizer, in which case you can use it before. If you have oily skin or plan to wear SPF, we like to combine two drops of Get Even with a lightweight moisturizer (we love the Glow Recipe Watermelon Pink Juice Moisturizer), which adds a boost of hydration and keeps your skin plumped all day long.

And, because there are no exfoliating, skin-sensitizing or light-sensitive ingredients in Get Even, there are no limitations on which other products you can use it with.

How often can I use Get Even?

You can use Get Even twice a day, but if you can only do it once, do it during the night as it helps create a barrier on the skin to keep all that moisture locked in!

Can I use primer on top of the oil?

Yes, but you don’t have to! For daytime, we like to combine two drops of Get Even with a lightweight moisturizer (great for oily skin types), and then follow with either primer or foundation. We’d recommend following with an oil or silicone-based foundation for a dewy and natural finish.

Huda finishes her skincare routine with three drops of Get Even Rose Oil, a spritz of Glow Coco, and then the Tatcha Liquid Silk Canvas Primer before applying foundation.

How does Get Even play with foundation?

So nicely! For a dewy and natural finish, you can combine one drop of Get Even with an oil or silicone-based foundation.

Does Get Even help with dark circles?

Although we haven’t specifically tested Get Even around the eye area, 94% of people agreed their skin looked bright and luminous after using the rose oil on their face for 28 days (based on an independent study on 30 people using the product twice a day).

There are numerous causes of dark circles, check out some tips and tricks for getting rid of dark circles here.

How long does Get Even take to work?

Good question! Within days your skin is likely to feel softer and smoother, and the longer you use it, the more dramatic the results will be. Everyone’s skin is different, and it will depend on the results you’re looking to achieve. Our independent studies showed:

  • 95% agreed their skin felt more moisturized immediately after use*
  • 98% agreed their skin felt softer immediately after use*
  • 97% agreed their skin felt softer after 10 days*
  • 94% agreed their skin looks bright and luminous after 28 days**
  • 90% of men agreed that shaving was easier with less irritation after 28 days*

*Based on an independent study on 53 people of all skin types, tones and sexes using the product every evening at the end of their skincare routine

**Based on an independent study on 30 people of all skin types, tones and sexes using the product twice a day at the end of their skincare routine

What does Get Even Rose Oil smell like?

Roses thanks to the Rose Damascena oil & Rosehip Oil in the formula! There is no added fragrance in our Get Even Rose Oil, and the scent is 100% naturally occurring.

Why is Get Even more expensive than other WISHFUL products?

Face oils, in general, are luxurious formulas with concentrated ingredients. You’ll find that most facial oils from other brands also tend to be more expensive than their other products, and this is simply for the fact they often cost more to make. A little goes a long way with this product, so you should be able to use it for a minimum of a few months with daily use.
