If you haven’t seen these clips on almost every influencer on Instagram in the last few months, then we’re here to fill you in on the hottest hair accessory of the moment! These hair clips will make you feel like the ultimate GLAM queen; you’ll literally be DRIPPIN in girl BOSS vibes… Sorry, we couldn’t resist.
The clips we’re referring to are from celeb hairstylist, Justine Marjan’s latest collab – appropriately named Serious Boss Vibes – with Kitsch, and we’re high key obsessed with them. And it’s not just us, everyone’s VIBE(ing) with them, from Ariana Grande and Ashely Graham to Tori Spelling and Olivia Culpo. We spoke to Justine for all of her fave styling tips for her plauful, boujee clips, aka the hottest styling accessory of 2019. Here’s the hairstylin’ tea:
“I think we are seeing the return of a lot of 90’s nostalgia trends, including logomania, bold prints, and hair accessories! They are such an easy way to create a statement look and they add a nice touch of detail to a photo for the ‘gram.” says Justine.
The Inspo Behind The Collab
Justine explains, “I was so inspired by the Gucci hair barrettes that came out last year, but I wanted to create a version that was more accessible. I loved the crystal element for high-ended designers, so we created Kitsch pins with hematite crystal, which is naturally super reflective, sparkly, and energetically helps with grounding and warding off negative energy.” A hair clip that expels bad energy? We want five.
Justine’s Styling Tips For DRIPPIN’ GLAM
For the 90s vibe: “I love using the Kitsch XL #kitschxjustine snap clips behind the ears to hold the hair back or on either side of a low bun or ponytail in the back of the head.”
Don’t overthink it: “Have fun with it and be creative. If you are intimidated to wear them, start by placing them in the back or behind an ear where it doesn’t feel like too much of statement. I love to place these around the face to instantly amp up even the most simple hairstyles.”

For festival season: “Really just go for it! Festival season is the time to take risks, be bold, and have fun with your style! I love mixing and matching a ton of pins and covering the head in a collage!”
Justine’s application tips: “To apply, make sure hair is styled as you want before adding in the hair accessories. Use your hands to hold the hair down below the placement, so that they can easily slide in the hair without messing up the style. Use the facial features as a guide for placement, such as the eyebrow arch, edge of the eyebrow, eye, cheekbones, etc.”
How Ariana Wears The Clips
Justine told us: “Ariana Grande has been wearing the clips every night of her tour and I basically die every time I see a photo. Josh Liu, Ariana’s hairstylist has been serving different looks every night of her tour using the pins and I am SO impressed by his creativity and skill!”
The ICON(ic) Range
Justine now has two ranges of statement clips; “We now have a variety of statement word pins (DRIPPIN, FEELINGS, GLAM, DAMN, ICON, BO$$, VIBES), $29, a variety of different sized snap clips, $12, and a pack of twelve oversized bobby pins, $49. All the pieces are meant to be fun, playful, and mixed and matched to express your unique style. As a hairstylist, I found that even some of the most high-end accessories were poor in quality, so we created these pieces with industrial grade materials so that they would be both functional and fashionable.” Girl got our back!
