While we were brainstorming badass women to partner with for our Next Generation Lash Collaboration, we knew immediately that Lottie Tomlinson would be a perfect fit. Not only is the gorgeous Lottie a fellow die-hard beauty lover, but she’s also a lash addict, MUA, and a beauty entrepreneur with her own self-tan brand. Just like Lottie, the lashes are breathtaking-ly glamorous with a sultry flair. These ultra-fierce lashes have been a fave since they arrived at HB HQ. Here’s everything you need to know about the Lottie #19 Lash.

The Lottie #19 Lash

Lottie lash

When the design process began, we knew we wanted to create a lash as unique as our muse. So, we decided the Lottie lash would be the first to feature in our new LUXE lash category. The Lottie #19 Lash is a silk lash that delivers 3D volume using ultra-fine fibers and tapered ends to create the most natural effect possible while adding some MAJOR drama. They’re sexy yet ultra-feminine – trust us, as soon as you put them on, you’ll feel like a total bombshell.

Lottie On The Lashes…

“When I designed the lash I based it around the style of lash I love and wear all the time. I wanted something quite long and very fluffy. I also wanted them to sit comfortably on the eye and I think we’ve definitely achieved that.”

Lottie On The Collaboration…

“When Huda called me, I was so excited. I actually had a celebratory cocktail the day I got the message, it really was a dream come true. I actually questioned, was it a mistake, surely, she didn’t want me?! I couldn’t believe it. It’s still surreal now that she wants to work with me.”

Why Lottie Is Our Huda Beauty Muse

Just like Huda, Lottie’s love of beauty began as a child and has since led her to build her own beauty empire with a self-tanning brand, called Tanologist (which is amazing, btw)! “Beauty has always been my passion. From the age of 12, I used to ask my mom about each piece of makeup, and then I would research it and learn about the different product and brands,” Lottie told us.

But more importantly, she uses beauty to help her feel empowered, which is at the very core of the Huda Beauty ethos. Lottie explains, “I love the confidence makeup can give you. I feel like a different person when I wear makeup and I think that’s really special. I also love how you can express yourself creatively through makeup, I see it as being a form of art.” Like we, said… The. Perfect. Fit!

Lottie’s Story

Another thing that we really respect about Lottie is her determination; “When I was 15 I didn’t get the grades to get into sixth form at school, so I went to assist Lou Teasdale on tour with my brother [One Directioner, Louis Tomlinson]. She trained me up and then I started assisting other makeup artists on shoots and at fashion week to learn more about the industry. Then I used this knowledge to help become an influencer on Instagram.

Lottie On Her Brand

When we asked Lottie what inspired her to create the Tanologist, she told us; “I’ve always been a tanning addict but I had never been able to find one that worked for me. I have sensitive skin so they’d always break me out or go streaky and I’d find I couldn’t get a deep color without looking orange. So I decided to create a clean and clear range that didn’t break me out and didn’t have a guide color so therefore doesn’t stain clothes or your sheets.” We’ve tried it and we’re obsessed – stay tuned for our full review!

Lottie’s Beauty Tips

As a fellow makeup artist, Lottie has her own beauty hacks and industry tips. So obviously, we obvs we had to find out her secrets…

Hack#1: “It would have to be adding my Tanologist Water Drops, $17, to my foundation. I do this every few days to keep my tan topped up.”
Hack#2: “I actually use the Huda Beauty Matte and Metal Melted Shadows, $30, as lipstick all the time.”
Hack #3: “I often use hair gel to set my brows as it keeps them in place alllll day.”

When we asked Lottie about her fave beauty look, she told us: “I think I always go back to a simple look, you can’t go wrong with flawless glowy skin, filled in fluffy brows, nice full lashes (aka Lottie #19 lashes) and a glossy nude lip. That’s definitely my go-to.” A gal after our own heart.
