Lips On Lockdown With Kat Von D’s Everlasting Lip Liners

product review

MR7A7547-2-2As you all know, I’m obsessed with lip liners, and as I’ve always been such a huge fan of Kat Von D’s liquid lipsticks, I really couldn’t wait to get my hands on her extensive new Everlasting Lip Liner collection. Not only has she brought out an amazing range of 30 colors, but I love that among the bold shades, she’s offered such a vast line of pinks as well. It’s the perfect balance of cult favorite and wearable colors, but also such a true expression of herself.

What it is: A highly pigmented, water-resistant lip liner with 30 shades to match all the iconic Kat Von D lipsticks.

What it does: Formulated for 24-hour wear, with a weightless glide formula, the lip liners apply effortlessly for sharp definition with quick dry down.

What we liked: Other than the extremely versatile collection, the liners themselves were AhhhMAZING! There was zero feathering, and they applied soo effortlessly, which really isn’t common for a 24-hour lip liner. Although the pink-toned liners glided on super smoothly, we noticed the blue and purple pigmented colors didn’t have the same immediate payoff and took a couple of layers to match their Kat Von D lipstick equivalent. The texture was also super creamy and lacked that annoying waxy texture, which can sometimes leave that little bit of liner that lingers behind. I love that it’s mechanical too, which makes life soo much easier! The tip is also thin enough that it doesn’t need to be sharpened, and you can get really precise application without all the hassle of having to go in search of one! Oh, and everything is faithful to Kat’s motto, no animal testing and vegan-friendly – LOVE.

What we didn’t like: I loved the lip liner, but the only downfall of being mechanical is that the amount of product you get isn’t comparable to a standard crayon liner – it works out at about a quarter of the product. But, this really did have incredible staying power, so technically because of its durability, you’re actually going to be using a lot less liner as you won’t need to reapply throughout the day.

Overall, I think this is designed to be used as a liner and not to fill in lips – if you apply all over, you’ll notice fading at the center of your lips if you eat a meal. I definitely recommend these liners, not only is the color offering super versatile and the application dreamy, but they really did last all day… as a liner!
