Recovering Your Hair...On a Budget! (Part 3/3)
Hair Recovery is a looong process which requires a lot of patience, but the main thing is that you have to give yourself at least 4-odd weeks before you start seeing a difference. It’s taken me almost 6 months to fix mine so I def get your frustration! If you guys have read my first two tips about the Coconut Oil and Biotin, here’s my final tip for recovering your hair on a budget!
Use a highly effective product like Kerastase Densifique.
Yes, I know – this product is not exactly on the budget-friendly bracket but it has really helped my hair soooo much! There are a few alternatives available on the market so definitely check them out (like Liquid Biotin and Keratin).
What I did:
o Make sure you have clean hands
o It says you take a whole ampoule, twice a day (I just use a third of that, still twice a day though)
o Apply and massage the product into your roots and scalp. Every morning and at night.
Actually, just by massaging your head you’ll stimulate hair growth. As your blood flows, you improve circulation and that improves hair growth. I know it sounds weird, but massaging your scalp is very VERY effective!!
I have a double-whammy trick to help my hair fall stop and make it look thicker: I use a mix of Kérastase Densifique Minoxidil solution (which helps to add density to hair) and a dark eyeshadow shade (here I used Too Faced’s Natural Matte Palette) to cover up any exposed scalp areas. You can see a difference in just minutes with this super easy beauty hack!
EXTRA TIPS: Eating, of course, is veeeery important. As they say, you are what you eat. Eat foods that are high in Omega-3 like Salmon – I normally just grill it at home and eat it twice a week. This will help your hair become shinier and healthier, as well as prevent breakage. I would also recommend eating walnuts as snacks (maybe twice a week) because they are full of B-vitamins which is great for hair and nails.
So my loves, these are some of the things I’ve been doing to recover my hair – and trust me, they’re working!! Let me know if you have any questions, and I hope this series helped you guys a bit! Xx
