The Reason You Need To Jump On The Rose Trend Right Now
Not only do we adore the scent of roses, but they’re also packed with tons of good-for-you benefits! So, while we’re obsessed with rose-inspired makeup looks, we’re also massively lusting after roses in our skincare collections as well. We’re super happy beauty brands have been incorporating rose into their skin care collections lately. Mists, serums, toners, creams… the list of options goes on and on thanks to the hydrating, anti-inflammatory, and cleansing qualities found in freshly plucked petals.
For starters, rose hips are super rich in vitamin C, the coveted ingredient found in all good beauty products, that’s responsible for making your skin brighter, younger looking, and protecting it from damaging earthly elements. It’s also full of vitamins E, D, A, and B3 along with those aforementioned antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. All this make roses ideal for calming redness, treating breakouts (thanks to the antiseptic compound phenyl ethanol), hydrating parched skin, and balancing oil. Basically, they make everything softer, soothed, and less irritated. Talk about #SkinGoals.
