This Is The Trick To Always Nailing Your Eyeliner
One of the hardest things to get right when it comes to makeup is eyeliner. Even if you’ve aced one eye with a wing that would make Cleopatra green with envy, you’ve got to do it all over again on the other side! This can lead to an unfortunate 50/50 between sharp AF and some kind of droopy Picasso painting. Evening it out can be a major battle, and unless you’re throwing it back to your teenage Avril Lavigne obsession, it IS possible to do too much. Luckily, brands all over the world have recognized our makeup struggles and come up with the perfect eyeliner tools to help us out. We’ve rounded up some of our fave lifesaving eyeliner tools.
The Cat Eyeliner Stencil, $7
This cat eye stencil is nothing short of adorable. Give us cat-shaped anything, any day! But, as well as being cute, it’s also a major multitasker. The stencil is shaped so that each angle of the cat (seriously, so cute) will give you different results, depending on how you position it on your eye. Whether you want a thick, short wing or prefer a thin, elongated one, you can achieve every look with this tool. Plus, it also works as a cut-crease creator too. Shop it on Amazon here, $7.
The Ultimate Eyeliner
If you have a dodgy eyeliner you’re never going to get that sharp flick you dream about, so the smaller and more defined the nib, the easier it is. We’re obsessed with the new Fenty Beauty Flyliner, which is so intensely pigmented and has a super flexible felt tip (an exclusive Fenty innovation), that glides on a defined slick of color in one go. Because the tip is SO fine, getting that perfect pointed flick is really easy! Check out our full review, or shop it here, $20.
The Rollerwheel Liquid Liner, $21
One thing that majorly annoys us when we’re doing our eyeliner, are the little smudges we get from dragging the brush on our lids – especially if you have hooded lids. Incomes the Rollerwheel eyeliner to glide seamlessly along your lashes to create the perfect straight edge without any drag. They actually nicknamed it training wheels for your eyes, and it’s even been favorited by Ariana Grande’s makeup artist, and you know that Ariana can seriously wing it! Shop it here, $21.

The Quick Flick, $28
Yaaaas eyeliner stamp! Seriously, does it get any easier than this? The Quick Flick is the ultimate eyeliner tool if you can never get your wings to match up. This tool comes pre-loaded with ink, and all you have to do is simply press the stamp onto the corner of your eye, connect the wing to your lash line, and you’re good to go. Trust us, this is going to change your game for good (read our full review here). Shop the Quick Flick here, $28.
Similar to the Cat Eye Stencil, this is essentially a liner stencil. However, it’s really small and easy to maneuver over your eye. You have full control over the length of your wing, as well as the thickness, and it works for your bottom liner too. It comes with a super cute case to store it in, which also has a mirror with a suction cup at the back, so you can stick it on any wall and wing it wherever you are. If your eyes aren’t the only thing you struggle to draw a line over (shout out to our exes), the curved edge doubles up as a lip liner stencil! Shop it here, $8.
If you’re having a hard time with your liner and you’ve decided you’re not going out anymore, you need something you can grab quickly. Take a deep breath, grab some sticky tape (not too sticky, you don’t want to pull your skin) and get in formation. A piece of tape can be an absolute blessing to help perfect your eyeliner. As a general guide, position the tape from the outer corner of your eye towards the tip of your brow, then for added guidance, you can take another piece from the inner corner and line them up. Fill it in, peel away the tape, and you’re good to go!
