Whether your scalp is flaky, just dry or even oily, keeping the skin on your head balanced is just as important as keeping the skin on your face and body clear and clean of acne! It’s not easy, but it is also not impossible!  Nothing is attractive about an oily scalp or one that is flaky, so here are some quick tips that seriously work! My sister didn’t believe me, until she tried it, she was shocked! 🙂

  1. Yougurt is excellent for balancing out the chemistry of our skin and if applied for 20 minutes or so before you shower, it could help with keeping your scalp balanced and healthy looking!
  2. Apple Cider Vinegar is one of my favorite ways to keep my scalp buildup free and also flake free! It kind of also balances out your PH levels, but it can be extremely strong in smell! I always try to do it at least an hour before my husband comes home, he hates the way it smells up the bathroom! Needless to say, it’s so powerful, I keep a jar in my bathroom to make sure my scalp looks healthy all the time! Apply it the scalp (you can use a cotton ball saturated in vinegar) and leave it for 15 minutes before washing as usual!
  3. I always say this, but for some reason people don’t believe me until they actually do it, eating makes the biggest difference to your looks! Anything you take into your body (including smoking and over indulging in alcohol) significantly affects the way you appear on the outside! So if your scalp needs some work, try Brazilian nuts! They are AWESOME for keeping your scalp super healthy and making sure you have the right balance for healthy hair growth. If you have oily scalp, this could increase the oils, so keep an eye on how it affects your scalp!
