When it comes to beauty, hair is one of the most complicated things (along with skin). Perfect hair is all about tweaking small things that are specifically good for your hair. It all starts with shampooing your hair correctly, giving you the perfect base to start with!
Fine Hair: Fine hair can be a pain as it makes your hair look thin, and many times greasy! If you have fine hair, try conditioning your hair first, then shampoo! This will help keep your hair looking thicker and less greasy as the day goes on.
Oily Hair/Greasy Scalp: Color and heat are things that don’t simply are not friends with your hair. It can cause seriously dry hair! If you seem to have dry hair, but your scalp is always greasy, try shampooing your scalp only. Then when it’s time to add some moisture, only apply conditioner to your hair, avoiding your scalp as much as possible!
Dry Unruly Hair: My hair is super dry, but I love adding some olive oil to my hair for about half an hour before I shower. Don’t have the time? Add some olive oil to your shampoo and only shampoo your hair once! Then apply your conditioner and let it sit for a little bit. This is a good time to shave, scrub, etc. Let the heat and conditioner work together!
Dry Scalp: Flaky scalp is a big PAIN, but unfortunately it is very common. There are many causes, including dandruff, bacterial infections, and dryness. Try adding some Apple Cider Vinegar to your scalp and let it sit for about 10-15 minutes. Then wash as normal. This will also help clarify your hair and improve growth as well as boot any buildup!
