DAILY DOSE | SUN PROTECTION

When I was in university I was known for a couple of things–one, being obsessed with the gym, and two, always donning the perfect tan. Fast forward 7 years, and now I never leave the house without wearing 100 SPF. Why? I can tell you first hand, I have seen the affects of the sun now, only in my mid twenties, and they are NOT pretty. And yes, I have heard for decades that wearing sunblock is important, I just thought with my olive skin, I will be fine. News Flash: Everyone ages, and everyone is susceptible to skin cancer at any age. I don’t want to seem like Negative Nancy, but it is SO IMPORTANT to start wearing SPF–like NOW! It will protect your skin from the harsh UV rays of the sun which can cause, premature aging, wrinkles, sunspots, and the big “C”, skin cancer, among other things. PLEASE start wearing it today!
Just an FYI, if you are addicted to the sun, try going less. You can definitely wear sunblock and sunbath, but it will at least help fight the most dangerous UV Rays. I know 100 SPF seems crazy, but I have tanned even while wearing that! If that seems too high, try a 30 SPF and see how that helps.
