Who doesn’t love a little sugar? It’s the perfect way to end a meal! But could sugar be keeping us from really experiencing true health and beauty? You may already know, sugar is NOT good for you, but here’s the real reason: sugar significantly affects your bodies immune system, like really bad! It speeds up the aging process, and actually fights against us our overall health! As much as I enjoy sweets, here are 5 reasons to avoid sweets!

  1. Eating too many sugary foods can cause hyperactivity, depression, anxiety, can make it difficult to concentrate, and even cause crankiness
  2. It’s no secret that sugar is one of the leading causes of tooth decay
  3. Sugar also speeds the rate at which you age, leading to wrinkles that are more obvious as well as gray hair
  4. For many women,  sugar is one of the biggest contributors to weight gain and obesity
  5. Sugar, espeically refined sugar, can cause cardiovascular disease, blood clots, as well as diabetes
