I know, I know, it seems completely crazy, but hear me out! Face shaving is actually amazing, and this is why; not only will it be the best way to get rid of unwanted peach fuzz, exfoliate your skin, help with dark spots and aging, but it’ll make your makeup glide on like never before. Even Elizabeth Taylor and Marilyn Monroe shaved their faces! The thing is, I’m a hairy person, and just the idea of it seemed ridiculous to me. I thought if I did it, it was going to turn me into a wildebeest and Chris would divorce me. I thought that all the people who had done it before surely couldn’t have been as hairy as me. But all the positives of face shaving called to me, and I decided I had to at least try it.
I did my research and ordered straight razors on Amazon, they’re only a few dollars and the best type of razor to use. As soon as they arrived I took the plunge and did my first dry shave. Honestly, after that first time, it was like an epiphany: my peach fuzz was gone, it was like intense exfoliation for my face, and my makeup applied so well!
How I shave my face:
Shaving my face is now part of my weekly beauty routine. I do it every Saturday morning; sometimes I don’t even need to do it everywhere because I actually feel like my hair has become thinner. It took me about 5 to 10 minutes the first time I did it, but now it literally only takes a few minutes. I even do my nose, and I swear it has helped with blackheads! I know, its super scary, but honestly, try it, and you won’t believe how incredible your skin feels and how flawless your makeup will look – you’ll love it!
How to: It takes no time! Start by washing your face, ensuring it’s completely dry before you start shaving (don’t apply anything to your skin first!). What I love about straight razors is it’s really easy to target specific areas of your face, or if you’re extra like me, you can do it everywhere. Slightly pull your skin up towards your eyes (so that the skin is taught), and do small downwards strokes with the blade at a 45-degree angle. Do this for the entire bottom half of your face, and the same for your forehead; be super careful of your brows and be very light handed – you don’t need a lot of pressure. Make sure you hydrate your skin afterward, as the process acts like an intense exfoliation. Check out my tutorial below:
The Dos:
– Do be super careful! Hold the blade at a 45-degree angle; if you hold it horizontally you’ll probably cut yourself.
– Do be gentle: Don’t apply a lot of pressure, it’s not necessary.
– Do clean your razor with rubbing alcohol in between shaving sessions.
– Do hold your skin taught; this will minimize the chance of you cutting yourself and make the process easier.
The Don’ts:
– For the love of god, do not do this on wet skin.
– Don’t try your leg razer; it’s not gonna do the same job.
– Avoid moles and pimples.
– Don’t be afraid! If you’re scared to try it, do a small test patch somewhere conspicuous first.
– Don’t forget the aftercare: use a vitamin C serum or something nourishing afterward, as you’re essentially exfoliating your skin, plus the products are more easily absorbed – yay!
The Truth:
– Once you start shaving, it is something you will need to continue… but it feels so amazing you will probably want to!
– I don’t notice any stubble or bristle-like feeling, but some people do.
– If you have sensitive skin, it is possible to get razor burn.
– Honestly, if you have minimal hair or it doesn’t bother you, this is not something you NEED to do!
– I do it every week, but some people do it as little as once or twice a month, while others do it more frequently.
UPDATE!!
Hi my loves, a lot of you were asking in the comments that if you shaved, would your hair grow back thicker, darker, and quicker – this is such a good question as I thought this would happen too! Here’s the thing; when you shave the blade cuts your hair making it a sharp edge; naturally the tip of a hair is the finest part – it’s pointed so that it can make its way from the hair follicle through layers of skin. When you shave, the regrowth of the hair with its new blunt edge makes it feel as though it’s thicker and looks darker, but really, it’s not.
Will it make your hair grow back quicker? The growth of hair is controlled by the follicle, and shaving doesn’t affect the follicle or the growth pattern of the follicle – this is science! Every area of your body has a different growth rate, and every person’s hair follicles are unique. So the hair on your face is usually thinner than the hair on your legs, but the rate of hair growth on your face is generally faster.
Shaving is not for everyone, and laser hair removal may be a better solution for you. For me, shaving my face works amazingly!
If your nervous to DIY, you can go for a dermaplaning treatment, which is basically a fancy name and version of shaving your face 😉 Got more questions? Ask away in the comments!
Thank you for the useful article. You have given very good information.
I’ve had many people ask how my skin is so flawless. I got 2 of these 3 packs from tinkleyourface and they’re perfect for quick touch ups or even a full face. It removes all your peach fuzz and dead skin and you can even see it on the blade after shaving…which is very satisfying!
Hi again, I wanted to know if you have any good tips on how to avoid getting stubbles when shaving, and especially avoid getting whiteheads/blackheads. I noticed the last time I shaved, I had some whiteheads on my cheeks the next day. I have extra sensitive and dry skin on my cheeks. Maybe I hadn’t washed my face carefully.
Would be lovely to get some tips on that! Thanks so much!
Hii m 18 years old and i have lots of facial hair which makes me feel embarrassed so plz reccmnd me what should i do or is shaving will good for me according to my age and Will it looks creepy when hair grows back?
Hey my love! We totally understand but try not to be embarrassed. Everyone has their own hangs ups and facial hair is completely normal soooo many people get it. With that said, if you do want to remove it the most permanent option would be laser hair removal. Check out all the deets on how to do it at home here – https://hudabeauty.com/full-experience-philips-home-laser-hair-removal-device/ Shaving will also work for you and don’t worry it doesn’t grow back stubbly, or at a faster rate. However, to maintain it, you will need to shave regularly. We hope this helps xoxo
I would like to read more insight from you! Also I am going to share this |blog immediately. Awesome!
Soo I recently did it and loved how smooth my skin was. But a few days later I broke out but not with acne, just red little bumps in certain areas and noticed when I use certain makeup brushes my skin is very sensitive lol it feels like I can feel each hair on my brush.. I have an oily t zone and sensitive skin, is there any type of cleanser or moisturizer you’d recommend?
Hi gorgeous, it could be that you got shaving rash? It’s really important to make sure the blade you’re using is clean as well – we recommend spritzing with cosmetic alcohol first. Because shaving can remove skin cells as well as hair, it acts as an exfoliator. So, we would suggest avoiding other exfoliators, AHAs, and acids for at least 5 days post shave. Look for calming, soothing, and hydrating cleansers and moisturizers. Hope that helps x
Hey my love! Hair growth is determined by genetics so it will not grow back any faster or thicker. It’ll also be smooth for roughly 3-5 days but it doesn’t feel that prickly as the hair is generally quite soft. We hope this helps xoxo
If you shave your face isn’t the hair going to grow back the next day and be prickly?
Hey my love! We’d recommend a gentle, hydrating serum that contains vitamin C rather than a product that has a high concentration as you’re right it may tingle a little. We hope this helps xx
In my late 20s 😉 x
What age did you start shaving your face??
A tip: before you do it, try it to remove a little bit on the arms so you can see if your hair grows back black,… which was the case with me. If I don’t remove my upper lip hair, I could easily enter in a mustache contest with a lumberjack. My natural body hair (except eyebrows and head hair) were light blond and not noticeable,… until I thought it would be funny to see how it feels to wax all my underarm hair…. worst mistake of my life.
Im wondering if I shave and apply vitamin C afterwards, from The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2%, wouldn’t it sting so bad? Because from using the Vitamin C itself, I do get some tingling sensation. SO if I apply that after shaving, wouldn’t it hurt?
Hey my love! To correct uneven tone and to brighten the skin you should start using a vitamin C. By introducing vitamin C to your skin, you’ll provide a surge of antioxidants that’ll brighten and illuminate the skin. We love the Drunk Elephant’s C Firma Vitamin C Day Serum, $80. We also like the Vichy Liftactiv Vitamin C Serum, $29. We hope this helps. xoxo
Hey my love! To combat any facial scars make sure you read this post – https://hudabeauty.com/say-bye-felicia-to-stubborn-acne-scars-with-these-3-things/
We hope this helps xoxo
I accidentally cut my face because I use a lot of pressure and its hurt so bad (my fault). What should I do? I don’t want a scar on my face. Ouch! (=_=^)
I’ve been threading my upper lip from over a decade but off recently I’ve started developing a greenish hue on my upper lip with a couple of thick ingrown hair which comes out with a plucker I’m too worried of the greenish hue though not sure where things went wrong . Please do suggest what could be done to get rid of the hue .
I’m a little apprehensive of laser though.
Hey my love! We love threading! Check out our youtube video to find out how to thread your facial hair. We hope you enjoy it! xx

How do you feel about threading facial hair ?
Thank you for sharing your experience sweetie! We’re SO glad that it has worked out so well for you xx
Huda, thank you for your amazing tips! My question is : why should I shave my face instead of waxing or theading? Also, what about the neck area? I am blond but a hairy blond : cheeks, upper lips, chin & neck. What should I do? (Laser is not an option as the hair is blond)
I don’t think its a god idea. There are different hair removal methods for women’s. They can try other things like laser hair removal or electrolysis.
Hey my love! Thank you for your comment. We all know the struggles of hair removal so don’t worry you’re not alone! The only permanent solution for hair removal is laser hair removal so check out the link below to find out more about the process. Alternatively, the results of waxing will last slightly longer than shaving so I would recommend sticking with waxing or considering the laser hair removal. We hope this helps! xoxoxo

Hey my love! We’re sorry that your skin is acting out, we’ve all been there! When it comes to sensitive skin, you need to look for products that are catered to your skin type and that are free of any fragrances or chemical that could potentially irritate your skin. Also, avoid any scrubs, brushes or loofahs that could irritate your skin and look for gentle products. Looking into organic beauty could be a great solution as the natural ingredients list, is a lot less likely to aggravate your skin. Although the golden rule for sensitive skin is to always do a skin test before you buy any new product. We hope this helps! xoxo
Ok thanks my dear I love you so much.

Hi hun! So i have chin hair and i normally wax because when it gets back it feels hardish and some are black . I wanted to know if i turn to shaving work it make me feel better and be better becauase the i do have sensitive skin an di am only 19 . Being a girl with no pimple but this hair can bring my self-confidence down . What should i do ??
this is a great post, shaving the face is really awesome whether you’re a man or a woman
Hey my love! If you have whiteheads, shaving your face will most likely burst them and spread the bacteria, making your breakout worse. You should try and get rid of your whiteheads before you address the hair. For our top 5 ways of combatting a breakout read this post https://hudabeauty.com/2018/03/04/5-things-that-will-kick-acnes-ass/ We hope it helps! xoxoxo

Does micro needling promote the same effects?
Hi gorgeous, micro needling has different effects, you can find out more here > https://hudabeauty.com/2017/05/18/say-bye-felicia-to-stubborn-acne-scars-with-these-3-things/
Hope this helps xx
Great blog!! Just wanted to know, after shaving, does the skin become prickly and does one develop a stubble? I have always been concerned about that so i am scared to ever try it out .
Hi.. can we use the electric razor for women like the Panasonic or veet one? In your opinion does it give the same result?
Huda you are a queen this IS the best thing I have ever tried and I was super skeptical.
Never has my face ever felt so clean, exlofiated, clear and smooth!!!
Thank you for the lesson of a life time
Sherri xx
I personally think a better combination to exfoliate and get rid of facial hair is:
1) plain yogurt to exfoliate ( lactic acid makes dead skin cells let go) –
AND
2) a hand held electric depilitator (acts like a rotating head of tweezers.)
That way, you don’t need to avoid any problem areas, and you’ll never cut yourself.
You only need around a teaspoon of yogurt to do your face and neck – just apply a thing later, let it dry, and gently rinse it off.
And you still end up with fresh, amazing, fuzz-less skin.
Just add a moisturizing layer after rinsing off the plain yogurt.
Do you mean Epilator?
Won’t baby hairs look strange above shave line? Is this assuming you’re already using a laser treatment?
What colour are you wearing on your lips in the video?
Wowwww…lovehudabeauty
Hey Huda!,
Iv started doing this it’s been a few months also I have sensitive skin, in the beginning when I started doing it, it felt amazing but than I started to notice these red dot spots I’m getting on the side of my face and the hair growth is rapid, I only did my side burns and my jawline since than I feel so insecure because the hairs look like little bristles before I started this my hairs where very fine not really noticeable now it is and my boyfriend mentioned it to! I need major advise! Please help
I’ve seen your YouTube video about shaving and ever since last year I have been shaving and gosh I tell you the results are beautiful leaving my skin feeling as if I went to for a facial really I’m from South Africa and the climate seems very dry I love make up and enjoy myself when I’m the mirror I indulge myself and to have a beautiful canvas to apply my make up just makes everything much more enjoyable
Just curious, why dry shave rather then wet ?
Hi Huda, I have tried shaving a few times with the recommended razors.. But my skin started to flare up with acne :’( It didn’t happen the first time I did it, but about the 4th-5th time ! I waited and now my skin has started to clear up! I’m not a 100 percent sure if the razor did that. Should I go for it again ? 🙁
Love ,
Sonal
Hey xx I know the hair doesn’t actually grow back thicker or darker but does it look that way? Xx
Hi Huda! I wanted to know that men who shave get the impression of the beard on their face like tiny minute dots. Won’t same happen to women if they shave, with the period of time?
hi, thank you for the information, however i wanted to know, is face shaving suitable for people that have acre prone skin/prone to blemishes etc ? please let me know, as i really want to try this but i’m scared if it will increase the spots on my face. thank you !! xxx
Hi gorgeous, I don’t recommend this on any areas where you have acne as it can damage your skin and spread bacteria. Check out our post on tips for acne-prone skin here. xxx
I️ definitely want to try this! When you are shaving, do you go with the hair or against the hair? I️ have very sensitive skin so I️ want to make sure I’m doing it right! Thank you
Hi my love, you’re less likely to irritate your skin if you go with the hair instead of against it. If your skin is super sensitive, it might be worth doing a small test patch somewhere first. xx
Hi Huda. Do you know if i can purchase it anywhere eles off Amazon. The one that you have attached as a link, they don’t ship to the UK
What kind of laser did you use for hairremoval?
Huda! Why you just don’t get hair laser removal in your face? Would that work? Would be that more permanent?
Hi Huda. Did the hair grow back faster the first time and then slowly it reduced. _javairia.1
Hi Huda.
Thanks for the post and letting know the type of razor to used..
Can you please share which cream or any . To use after shaving face as shaving exfoliates so what can be done after shaving ???
plz do share
Lots of love
Once agin thanks ….
Hi my love, the type of moisturizer you should use is really dependent on your skin type. Check out our guide here, but try to avoid any very heavy creams. xxx
I have been shaving my face for almost a year now but i get rashes afterwards even when i clean my razor properly with alcohol.. could you suggest something for that?
it might not be the best thing for your skin, but you should try a different moisturizer to put on after you shave.
Hi! So I decided to shave my face and you wrote to do small downward strokes but in your video you are doing small upward strokes. Is there a difference on how your hair grows back depending on what direction you’re going? If so, which one is the correct way? Thank you. Xoxo
Hi my love, it depends on the area of the face that you’re shaving. Do downwards strokes for the cheeks, but in certain areas around your hairline, going upwards may be easier. Hair growth is determined by the hair follicles, so either way, the angle shouldn’t affect growth. Shaving in downwards strokes on the cheeks is less likely to cause skin irritation or cuts. Hope this helps! xxx
Hi Huda… I have done lots of laser on my face… however I have lots of dark thick hairs growing on my chin/neck area… think it’s hormonal. Would you recommend the dry shaving?
Hey shana, i have a hormonal imbalance which is why i have thicker and faster hair growth, I totally understand what youre talking about. Ive had laser hair removal done on my face and neck for like a year but it didn’t do anything. I found this video and ive been in love with shaving my face ever since i tried it. Definitely recommend.
Hi huda
Won’t the area that is shaved would look strange or does it also effects on our skin can our skin get hard stuffed or it will be the same? I really really wanna try this but i am not sure if i have to do this or no i am struggling soooo bad! Do we have to use razors & blade or shaving cream or we have to do apply both? LOVE YOU SO MUCH!and thanks! I need an answer please
Hi Huda me encanta todo tu maquillaje quede encantada
Hey Huda , what about burning the facial hair with the flame of a candle ? I have heard about this alot and many bloggers also do this but i am not sure about this… can you guide ?
Hi my love, that sounds really dangerous and it’s not something I would try! xx
Hi Huda, will you recommend dermaflash ?
Hi Huda, I am definitely going to try this, I searched for the Korean straight razors on Amazon but could not find it, can you please recommend some good ones?
Hi my love, try these razors 😉 xx
Hey huda….thankfully i dnt have facial hair but can u pls tell us abt how you remove hair in the armpit and pubic area…how can we prevent them from darkening?
Hi my love, there are lots of options you can explore and it really comes down to your preference. Laser can be a good permanent solution, while waxing and shaving are easier and cheaper and you can do them yourself. Xxx
Thank you
Is there a specific brand you use? Can you share a link?
Hi my love, try these razors 😉 xx
Thank you
Hey Huda, wanted to start by thanking you for your line and how involved you are with creating your products and your team. So, I have been waxing for years and my hair starts coming back within 24-48 hrs.. I always get little, black stubble on my chin and its so annoying, plus I always end up breaking out.. Do u think shaving would be a better alternative? I’m just nervous about getting that “5 o’clock shadow” like guys do.. HELP PLEASE
Hi my love, thanks for your sweet comments have you considered laser? This might be a good option for you, as I did laser on my upper lip and chin and now I don’t have to worry about it at all. Xxx
Hello Huda Habibti! I am a very hairy person all over. My face i have been threading and waxing. I have noticed my chin and upper lipp hairs are getting very thick whereas my side burns and the highest point of my cheeks are lighter. Im scared of shaving as i does not take the hair from the root. I trust you as an expert what do i do ?
Suzi
Hi my love, if your hair is very thick, you may find laser a better option. xxx
Whenever I bleach my face, it becomes dry. I would like to try it. Thanks Huda ☺️.. You rocks
Do you do around your top lip too? I’m scared that it will grow back thicker. Also could you show us the link to the razors you purchase on amazon? Thank you!!
Hi my love, I have lasered my upper lip, and highly recommend laser for that area. I’ve linked the razors I use in the blog now 😉 xx
Hi, What is the yellow one you use in your youtube video? Thanks! x
Won’t shaving my facial hair make the hair darker and thicker?
Hi my love, shaving can’t affect the hair follicle, which is what controls growth rate and hair thickness. The only difference is that it may be perceived to be thicker/sharper because when you shave it creates a blunt end, as opposed to the natural pointed end of a hair. Xxxx
My face is extremely hairy, and I realllllly want to shave but a lot of people say that it will grow thicker and darker. To shave my face, does it have to be dry? Or if it’s wet then it will be thicker and darker??
Hi my love, I prefer to o t dry. Shaving can’t affect the hair follicle, which is what controls growth rate and hair thickness. The only difference is that it may be perceived to be thicker/sharper because when you shave it creates a blunt end, as opposed to the natural pointed end of a hair. Xxxx
You used a bled I think. Can I use razor? And are you sure razor should be used on a dry face
I think shaving the face will lead the hair to grow up more and more..
Thats why i am not convinced enough to do it
Why not try laser hair removal? Its less hassle and does the job by permenantly removing the hair. You wont have to shave again! X
Shaving does not increase hair growth or thickness. You are just cutting the ends of the hair not doing anything to the follicle underneath the skin. It may seem thicker when it is short and first starts growing back but once it gets longer you will notice its the same thickness
Hi,
I was just wondering..wouldn’t laser hair removal be the best way to go?
Hi my love, laser works really well for some people and I have had it done on my upper lip and chin. I like using the razor for my peach fuzz on my face; it’s just so quick and easy for me. Everyone is different, so it depends what works for you 🙂 xx
Hey Huda, thank you so much for this hack, was just wondering if the hair would grow thicker after shaving it i mean like men beard
Hi my love, shaving can’t affect the hair follicle, which is what controls growth rate and hair thickness. The only difference is that it may be perceived to be thicker/sharper because when you shave it creates a blunt end, as opposed to the natural pointed end of a hair. Xxxx
It looks so interesting but I’m so scared that my hair would get back thicker also I’m super hairy I’m so confused about trying it out. And where can we get the razors other than amazon, i even don’t knw how it looks.
Hi my love, shaving can’t affect the hair follicle, which is what controls growth rate and hair thickness. The only difference is that it may be perceived to be thicker/sharper because when you shave it creates a blunt end, as opposed to the natural pointed end of a hair. You may be able to get the razors at a local supermarket. Xxxx
I love this so much. I though I was crazy when I started doing the same thing. I am an extremely hairy person and I’ve always been specially self conscious about the hair on my face. I thought about waxing but my skin is so sensitive and has so many acne scar that I didn’t want to risk using wax. i did it with a little electrical razor and I don’t retreat it! I love it bc mine looks like a pen so I just carry it around with me!
Shaving does not increase hair growth or thickness. You are just cutting the ends of the hair not doing anything to the follicle underneath the skin. It may seem thicker when it is short and first starts growing back but once it gets longer you will notice its the same thickness.
I want to try it because a foundation has never worked on my skin because the peachfuzz makes it look really bad, but i dont want it to get darker/thicker…
Doesnt the face feel rough when the hir grows back after a week? Like the hair grows thicker so when you feel you face its like thorns?
Hi my love, shaving can’t affect the hair follicle, which is what controls growth rate and hair thickness. The only difference is that it may be perceived to be thicker/sharper because when you shave it creates a blunt end, as opposed to the natural pointed end of a hair. Xxxx
I’m doing it for years! I’m so happy and as HUDA said it will make your make up super smooth!!!
I didn’t notice that my hair getting ticker and neither thinner ..
highly recommend my friends to try!
Hi there just wanted to find out if it doesn’t make your face green like how when a guy shaves ?
Hi my love, it has no effect on your skin tone 😉 xx
Hi don’t the hair grow back thicker and qwikly? And aint it better to just laser
Xx
Hi my love, laser works really well for some people and I have had it done on my upper lip and chin. I like using the razor for my peach fuzz on my face; it’s just so quick and easy for me. Everyone is different, so it depends what works for you 🙂 xx
I shave evry 3times a week but ma hair s thicker nd grow back eith n a day mameup look so cakey on shVed area
Hi my love, are you dry shaving? xxx
I actually started doing this a little bit less than a year ago. I saw the video you published on youtube at that time; and for me it’s not my whole face it’s just the area next to my ears (like my jaw line area if you know what I mean). So when I started I honestly felt so good about it because I literally hated them so much. Although I still don’t like the idea that I have to do it frequently, I still thank you so much for suggesting it and I don’t regret it at all. I just have one question, I just feeling like while doing it, my skin gets sooo dry and that feeling is annoying even though I moisturize afterwards. Do you think using shaving cream would help? Love you, and I hope I can meet you one day ❤️
Hi my love, so glad it’s working for you. I wouldn’t use shaving foam as the trick is to do it dry. Make sure you’re using a really hydrating cream – look for moisturizers with hyaluronic acid as this is super hydrating, or maybe jojoba oil would work well. Xx
Hello,
I really wanna try this but i am very scared. Wont i get a beard like a man’s? Will the hair that will grow again be harsh? Please i need your help :((
Hi my love, it doesn’t change the hair at all, I’ve updated the blog with a full explanation, check it out. Xxx
Hi Huda I’m french and I want so much try this hacks and particulary for my forhead but I got too much hair on so I don’t know if that can be a problem..
I’ve always wanted to shave my but kind of scared that it would grow back thicker because I have slot of hair on my face!
Hi my love, shaving can’t affect the hair follicle, which is what controls growth rate and hair thickness. The only difference is that it may be perceived to be thicker/sharper because when you shave it creates a blunt end, as opposed to the natural pointed end of a hair. You can always try laser, if you think that might work better for you. Xxxx
I tried this shaving and it worked so well for me but I couldn’t get to my forehead due to the rash and pimple there..so please is there a way I can get the hair out of my forehead without the shaving?
With love…Michelle
I also have so much hair on my upperlip and chin and I am thinking to go for a laser treatment. Is this a right thing to thin my hair or I go straight for this bold move of shaving. Confused!!
Hi my love, I did laser for my top lip and chin and it worked really well. It definitely depends on your skin type though,it’s different for everyone. Perhaps a consultation at a laser clinic will help you make your mind up. Xxx
Can I ask why you didn’t do all the face with laser!?
It is dangerous for face skin coz I want to do it but I am not sure about it
I really want your opinion because at laser clinic they always say that it’s ok for everything.
Thank you
Hi my love, it sounds silly but you never know when facial hair will be trending, like baby hairs are super trendy right now, so I’m glad I didn’t have mine lasered. The process of shaving really doesn’t bother me either; it’s super quick and works really well for me, so I’m happy to stick with this for now. Xxx
Does shaving increase my hair growth or I will get more hair..I have heard this around but not sure how true is it?
Also can I do it on my upper lips as well?any area on face
I am scred about that idea. I think it’s like shaving legs… the hair will be thicker . I know that the face become flawless but i am afraid that my face will be more hairy and as i have very white skin everybody will see it. Pls tell me what do you think? And one more last think, i really love you and you are my idol, i really wish i can join your company.
Hi my love, when you shave the blade cuts your hair making it a sharp edge; naturally the tip of a hair is the finest part – it’s pointed so that it can make its way from the hair follicle through layers of skin. The regrowth of the hair with its new blunt edge makes it feel as though it’s thicker and looks darker, but it’s really not. It’s completely down to personal choice, shaving works for me 😉 xxx
Hey huda! Little scared of trying because i dont wanna be a monkey. I am so hairy and heard that using razer will grow hair more. is it true?
Hi my love, laser works really well for some people and I have had it done on my upper lip and chin. I like using the razor for my peach fuzz on my face; it’s just so quick and easy for me. Everyone is different, so it depends what works for you 🙂 xx
I was wondering, how about doing it on your checks? Does the hair grow thicker when it comes out and does it sting and feel scratchy? I want to try it but I’m afraid I’m going to be like a man in between

I’m hella scared , what if my facial hair regrows Even thicker than before and I end up looking like a grizzly bear ??

I always feel scared to shave my face coz everybody says the area becomes green and you get thicker hair. Is laser a good option?
Also Love your lenses in the video. Which ones are those? ::))

Hi, i am a fan from India. So this is the first time I am writing to you. I have hairy face, I bleach but scared of getting my skin pigmented from harmful bleeching effects. Before I try this trick, I have heard people suggesting to shave the area where you want to have good growth of hair. . If it holds 1% truth, is it possible to get more hair growth after shaving my face.

Hi, i suffer from polycystic ovaries syndrome and hirustium, do you think it’ll work for me. I’m so scared to try it
Thanks huda loved the idea tho!!!!! wanna know what kinda shaving cream u used cos I got some hair n ma skin but ma face is super oily.. Need help !!!! Thanks
Hi my love, I just do it completely dry, you don’t need to use a cream. xxx
I got laser done on my chin because I had some thick hair but I feel like I get light hair back on my chin and neck now ever since the laser. Also, I have light hair on the jaw line and wasn’t sure if shaving could be a good idea? I am prone to acne though and my skin is sensitive
Do we have to shave against the direction of hair growth ?
No, you can shave in the same direction, my love, and there will be less chance of cutting yourself. Xx
Doesn’t shaving make your hair come back thicker on your face??
Hi my love, No, it doesn’t. When you shave the blade cuts your hair making it a sharp edge; naturally the tip of a hair is the finest part – it’s pointed so that it can make its way from the hair follicle through layers of skin. The regrowth of the hair with its new blunt edge makes it feel as though it’s thicker and looks darker, but it’s really not. xxx
I honestly think its better if you do laser removal, it would remove all your hair (depends tho). Whilist shaving makes it thicker or atleast that is what happened to me. I wish I listened to my mom lol
Hi gorgeous, laser can definitely be a great option but it’s more expensive for some people. X
This sounds like such a great idea! However, I’m wondering does the hair grow back thicker then before? Also, when the hair does grow back is it very noticeable?

Will it make your hair grow back quicker? The growth of hair is controlled by the follicle, and shaving doesn’t affect the growth pattern of the follicle – this is science! Every area of your body has a different growth rate, and every person’s hair follicles are unique. So the hair on your face is usually thinner than the hair on your legs, but the rate of hair growth on your face is generally faster. xxx
My facial hair won’t grow thicker?
Hi my love, know it doesny grow back thicker. I’ve updated the post, so check it out xx
Uhhh I’m sooo scared, but I would prefer my makeup to just look better on my face. What about laser treatment? I mean, wouldn’t that be better permanently gone vs shaving weekly?
Hi gorgeous, yeah laser is a really good solution too. It’s totally down to personal choice. I’ve lasered my upper lip and chin, but prefer shaving for the rest of my face. Xx
The hair that regrows will be hard and thicker ?
I haven’t done anything on my face but yes it’s hairy. I thought of doing wax but was scared of the hard, thick hair.
Please suggest
Hi my love, shaving can’t affect the hair follicle, which is what controls growth rate and hair thickness. The only difference is that it may be perceived to be thicker/sharper because when you shave it creates a blunt end, as opposed to the natural pointed end of a hair. Xxxx
If you shaved before with a leg razor and have a little stubble will it go away if u try this?
I really want to try this but my facial hair is so dark and fairly long! The hair starts from my sideburns that I hate so much, and they spread on to my cheeks and my neck. I feel as though my hairs would grow back so much thicker than before even IF I use straight razors! But I am willing to put my nervous thoughts aside and test it on a small patch. If It ends up growing back thicker than before, what other options would you recommend to treat facial hair?
Thank you!

Hi Huda,
I haven’t tried shaving my face ever but I’ve tried waxing and threading my face and it always ends with a disaster Hair started to grow thicker and faster . The same thing goes on my whole body when I wax there is always blood coming out and burns and pimples appear after one day from doing it . The most thing that had suited my body is shaving . But I don’t know will it suits my face or not . Do you recommend it for me?

I usually thread my face but sometimes don’t get the chance to do it every month because it’s sometimes a hassel making an appointment and making room in my schedule. I’m a very hairy person, my hair is black so it’s noticeable on my tan skin. Would you say that the shaving works better than threading the face?
Hi my love, it’s really down to personal preference, shaving works for me! Xx
I started to do this about 4-9 months ago and its literally the BEST HACK EVER. My makeup is very smooth, and I feel that it makes it look less cakey, because my foundation isn’t getting caught by my peach fuzz.
How about doing laser on your face??? Have you ever done it and does it work, what are the best types of laser hair removal for the face??? I want to try shaving but also want a more permanent, less maintenance involving solution if possible, hence the laser query? Hope you can help. Love you and thanks xxx
Hi gorgeous, I’ve done laser on my upper lip and chin and it worked really well for me. It’s definitely a good permanent solution. The type of laser you use is down to your skin type, so a laser clinic should be able to recommend the best one for you, depending on your hair. Xx
Such a great idea
Wow!! Thank you soo much for this post…Really feel like trying it now!! But still little scared
Hi my love, I know it’s so scary at first, but it really works for me! Try doing a small patch first if you’re nervous and see how it works. Good luck xxx
