My Fave Products That I Discovered In Korea

So a couple of weeks ago I realized I really needed some time out for myself, and I decided to go on a trip to Korea with my husband, Chris, and my daughter Nour. I’ve been to Korea before, and I just love the eclectic culture and, of course, the K-beauty scene is like no other! So, even though this wasn’t a work trip, I had to indulge in my passion for beauty. Among the amazing stores and crazy markets, I found some insane new products and some of my all-time faves. The best bit is, I’ve managed to find nearly all of them online so you can get your hands on them too!

The Saem Pure Natural Snail Mask Sheet, $1

korean beauty products

I am obsessed with Tony Moly’s 24k snail sheet mask, and this snail mask straight out of Korea is just as hydrating – and way cheaper! I left it on my for 30 minutes and it made my skin feel SO soft and hydrated all day, even after getting off the plane!

Ryo Hair Loss Shampoo

korean beauty products

This hair loss shampoo comes highly recommended and uses ginseng extract to balance the scalp and strengthen the hair follicle. I’m a big believer that healthy hair starts at the scalp, and because I’m always styling my hair and having extensions taken in and out, it’s really important that I use hair-care targeted for hair loss and hair strengthening. I already use a Japanese shampoo and conditioner that I love, so I’m super excited to try this!

KoCoStar Breast Mask, $9 and Belly Mask, $8

korean beauty products

I’ve never done a boob or belly mask before, but all I can say is this was such an indulgent experience. Although I love to use body oils, I never really set aside time to pamper my boobs and belly (that sounds so weird) but I loved it! The belly mask fits over the entire stomach and has a whole for your belly button, while the breast mask has a hole for your nipples and slit to one side to make sure it comfortably fits each boob!

The cotton Belly sheet mask is packed with ingredients like caffeine, soybean, ivy and bitter orange, and antioxidants and thickening agents to help to reduce the appearance of cellulite and saggy skin, for a firmer, smoother, and softer stomach. The Breast Mask is designed to firm and hydrate with an antioxidant-packed serum, infused with tartaric acid and licorice root that provide gentle exfoliation and help to even skin tone.

I can’t say I noticed a ‘lifting’ effect from either, but my skin felt so soft and supple afterward. I’d totally recommend this if you want to take your pamper day to the next level.

Rechargeable Heated Hair Roller, $15

korean beauty products

When I was in Korea, I saw so many girls walking around with these in! They use them to curl their fringe, but I think it’s genius if you buy a few to keep at the front of your hair to add volume while you do your makeup and get ready. It comes with a roller, a clip, and USB cable, so you can plug it in to charge and heat up or leave it connected to a portable charger. LOVE this!

Clé de Peau Beauté Le serum, $330

korean beauty products

I’ve been obsessed with this brand for a while and I had to pick up this serum while I was in Korea. The scientifically-driven brand is created by skincare giant Shiseido and uses amazing ingredients to give results every time. This serum is infused with Golden Silk Essence to combat loss of clarity, Japanese Pearl and Theanine to even skin tone and Chai Hu, Tormentilla Extract, and White Lily to firm the skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and sagging skin. It’s insanely expensive, but considering this gives such good results, for me, it’s worth it.

Mediheal Bio Capsulin Soothing Drop Mask, $7.50

korean beauty products

I found this at a Korean market and it was totally not what I was expecting. Folded up inside was a high-quality bio-cellulose sheet mask dripping in a concentrated essence. The mask fit to the contours of my face perfectly and after 20 minutes it left my skin hydrated, soothed and feeling much calmer. The formula is infused with tea tree leaf oil to soothe and treat the skin while soothing Centella Asiatica calms the repairs damaged skin.

KoCoStar Mint Lip Mask, $5

korean beauty products

I LOVE a good lip mask, and this hydrogel lip patch with a green grape flavor hydrates chapped lips with botanical extracts and hyaluronic acid and panthenol!

All Mask Story Gold Hydro Gel Eye Patch

korean beauty products

I love that these eye masks come in a big tub, each one dripping in serum – it seems like such a sustainable way to do eye patches instead of being individually packaged. These are insanely hydrating, and although they don’t stay in place too well and slip down the cheek, they are so hydrating and even help to minimize the appearance of pores. I’m glad I bought two tubs because I can’t find this online anywhere!

Mediheal Placenta Revital Essential Mask EX, $21 for 10 sheet masks

korean beauty products

The weirder the ingredient, the better for me, and this placenta mask literally brightened my skin and helped smooth out fine lines and minimize the appearance of pores. The cellulose mask fits the skin really well, and I love that these are so cost-effective – definitely the perfect pre-makeup step!

Let me know if you guys have ever been to Korea or tried any of these weird beauty products? I can’t wait to go back!
