As beauty editors, we spend a chunk of our time on TikTok looking for new game-changing hacks to bless your makeup routines with. While MANY scare the bejeezus out of us, others quickly catch our attention, like this mascara trick that fakes an eyeliner effect without the (intense) pressure. We’ve tested it out for ourselves too (boy, were we convinced), so we’ve covered all the deets you need to know.

The hack: TikToker @meganlavallie teaches makeup lovers how to hack an au natural eyeliner in 20 seconds by applying mascara in between her natural lashes. The result? A super-defined lash-line that adds an oomph factor to your eyes and saves you from the hassle of applying eyeliner.
The hype: The hack’s getting major attention with over 236K views (and counting). No surprise there, because it’s seriously easy to master, pairs well with your everyday look, and doesn’t require as much precision or effort as eyeliner.
How to get the look: “Instead of putting eyeliner on top of your lashes or in your waterline, put it [mascara] in between each lash,” says Megan. She dips a tiny eyeshadow brush into her mascara and wriggles closely at the root of every lash to create the illusion of a fuller lash line. What we liked: If you’re new to makeup (hi, welcome), chances are you’re experimenting with different eyeliner shapes with your makeup remover at arm’s length. But if you’re looking for transformative results on the clock, this technique is a must, especially since it uses minimal product. Seriously, your eyeshadow brush will pick up enough pigment for BOTH your eyes. And if we could do it in a car zigzagging to get ahead of traffic, then so can you!
