FAQ Questions
FAQ Questions

Applying concealer is essential for creating a flawless, radiant complexion. To achieve the best results, start by prepping your skin with a moisturiser and primer, paying special attention to the delicate under-eye area. This step ensures your concealer glides on smoothly and prevents creasing throughout the day. When choosing a product, opt for a shade of under-eye concealer that’s slightly lighter than your foundation to brighten the area. For those dealing with dark circles, applying an under-eye corrector with peach or orange undertones first can help neutralise the discolouration before layering a full coverage concealer on top for optimal results. When applying, use a small amount of concealer for dark circles, dabbing it in a triangle shape under your eyes, extending towards your cheeks to both conceal and lift your face. Gently blend the product with a damp beauty sponge or your ring finger, patting it into the skin for a smooth, seamless finish. Once blended, set your concealer with a light dusting of translucent powder to lock in the coverage and prevent creasing, especially if you’ve used a full coverage concealer. Following these steps will leave you with a bright, refreshed under-eye area, helping you achieve a flawless and long-lasting look.

Do I put color corrector on before concealer?

Yes, you should apply colour corrector before applying your concealer for the best results. Colour correctors are designed to neutralise specific skin concerns, such as redness, dark circles, or sallowness, by using contrasting colours. For example, if you're covering dark circles, an under-eye corrector with peach or orange tones should be applied first to counteract the blue or purple tones under your eyes. Once the corrector is blended in, you can apply your concealer for dark circles on top to even out your skin tone and provide a bright, flawless finish. The key is to layer your products properly. After applying the corrector, use a full coverage concealer that matches your skin tone to cover the corrected area. Gently blend the concealer to ensure everything looks smooth and seamless. By applying the corrector first, followed by the concealer, you’ll achieve more natural and effective coverage for any discolouration, leaving you with a perfected complexion.

How to choose concealer shade?

Choosing the right concealer shade is essential for achieving a natural, flawless look. The key is to select different shades for different purposes. For brightening the under-eye area, opt for an under-eye concealer that is one to two shades lighter than your foundation. This will help illuminate the under-eye area and give a refreshed, awake appearance. If you're looking to cover dark spots, blemishes, or hyperpigmentation, choose a full coverage concealer that matches your exact skin tone to ensure seamless coverage and an even complexion. When it comes to addressing specific concerns like dark circles, you may also want to use a complementary under-eye corrector. If your dark circles are blue or purple, a peach or orange-toned corrector will neutralise those tones. Once you’ve applied the corrector, layer your concealer on top. Always test your concealer shades in natural light to ensure they blend perfectly with your skin tone and foundation. By picking the right shades for your needs, you’ll enhance your complexion while maintaining a natural, flawless finish.

What is nicotinamide?

Nicotinamide, also known as niacinamide, is a form of vitamin B3 that’s widely used in skincare for its versatile benefits. It's a powerhouse ingredient known for improving skin texture, enhancing hydration, and brightening the complexion. One of its key benefits is its ability to help reduce the appearance of pores, fine lines, and wrinkles, making it a popular choice for anti-ageing and skin-smoothing products. It’s also an excellent ingredient for regulating oil production, making it suitable for those with oily or combination skin. Additionally, nicotinamide is highly effective in calming inflammation, which makes it ideal for sensitive or acne-prone skin. It’s commonly used to fade dark spots and hyperpigmentation, helping to achieve a more even skin tone. Whether you're looking to brighten your skin, reduce blemishes, or simply boost your overall skincare routine, nicotinamide is a versatile and gentle ingredient suitable for all skin types.

The #FAUXFILTER Under Eye Color Corrector in Light Peach is my new favorite concealer! This shade is perfect for my fair complexion, as most color correctors are way too dark on my skin tone. This blends in so beautifully and looks amazing by itself. But, I like to mix this in with my regular faux filter in my perfect shade for the most flawless under eye! No creasing, not cakey - blends like a dream

I’ve tried so many correctors before, but this one actually works. It instantly brightens my under eyes without feeling heavy or cakey. The peach tone cancels out my dark circles perfectly, and I love that it blends easily even on days I skip foundation. It stays put all day, doesn’t crease, and looks super natural. Definitely a new favorite in my makeup routine 10/10 recommend!
