hair care productsSource: Tropic Isle

Celebrity hairstylist Eduardo Bravo recommended this miracle oil to us a few months ago, and we’ve been using it religiously ever since. The potent blend of Pure Jamaican Black castor oil, extra virgin coconut oil, wheat germ oil, lemon oil, lavender oil, and pimento oil help boost growth, add volume, all while majorly hydrating your hair. By massaging the oil into your scalp, you’ll also boost circulation, which will maximize growth – if you have fine hair, we recommend doing this the night before you wash, to avoid greasy-looking locks. We’ve also been applying it to our lashes and our brows, and its transformed our lashes in weeks. Find out how here.

FOR A HAPPY SCALP:  DIY Scalp Scrub

Salt scrubsSource: EKramar/Shutterstock

A healthy mane starts with a healthy scalp, so it’s super important to show your scalp some love on a regular basis, and a weekly scalp scrub is the easiest way to do it! But as scalp scrubs are typically on the luxe end of the spectrum, we like to make our own. This combo of sea salt and lemon juice makes for a super effective exfoliator, as the salt acts as a physical exfoliator and the citric acid will act as a chemical exfoliator. This means it’ll help shed dead skin and loosen any oil that’s blocking your hair follicles. But don’t worry, it won’t dry out your scalp as the olive oil will seal in moisture.

Ingredients
2 tablespoons of sea salt
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
2 tablespoon of olive oil

Combine the ingredients in a bowl. Apply the mix to damp hair, then massage the scrub into your scalp to boost circulation then immediately rinse well with warm water, then follow with shampoo and conditioner.
