How To Fake Laminated Brows In Seconds!

Laminated brows are undoubtedly one of the hottest beauty trends of 2020 so far. It’s essentially the secret to full fluffy brows, but of course, it comes at a price, even if it is much more affordable than microbladed brows. The semi-permanent brow treatment typically costs around $50 and involves straightening hairs with a perm, setting them, and tinting your brow hairs, leaving you with full, thick brows for up to eight weeks.
But why do all that when you could just use one product to get the look in less than a minute? We wanted to find a simpler solution to getting the laminated brow look, and we’ve discovered it in the form of the Benefit Cosmetics 24-HR Brow Setter Shaping & Setting Gel, $24. The super strong formula sets brows in place all day without flaking or feeling like glue, and it’s literally the easiest way to fake the look of laminated brows without going through the whole process.
We tried 24-HR Brow Setter out on lots of different brows in the office to see how it held up, and we were seriously impressed with the results.
On full, thick brows:
On full, fine brows:
On fine brow hairs that naturally grow downward:
On thick, coarse brows:
While the brow hairs weren’t as uniformly straight as laminated brows look, it still gives a very similar effect that looks a little more natural. The brow gel is also especially great for the grow-out period of laminated brows when the brow hairs may start to move in different directions and can look a little messy if not combed into place. This brow setter is also a lot more powerful than most brow gels we’ve tried and did a great job of keeping typically unmanageable brow hairs in place.
If your brow hairs are quite fair, you can even tint your brows at home so that when you use this hack, they look fuller and thicker. If you have particularly stubborn brows, Benefit Cosmetics Global Brow Expert, Jared Bailey, recommends to “Let 24-Hour Brow Setter air dry on the wand like you would a lash glue, so it thickens up. Brush it up through the brow and press the product onto your skin. When it dries, you’ll have the brushed-up look you’re going for.”
If you’re not into the laminated brows look, 24-HR Brow Setter works amazingly for taming and controlling brows, so you can create any style you like. The brush has both long and short bristles; the long bristles work to distribute the gel through the hair while the shorter bristles are ideal for sculpting and shaping the brows.
The formula lasts literally all day, so unlike some brow gel formulas that start to flake or lose their hold after a while, 24-HR Brow Setter will literally keep your brows in place all day long.
