The first few weeks of September are typically defined as “back-to-school” season, but not in the fashion and beauty industry… Nu-uh! It means one thing: fashion month. First comes New York, then London, followed by Paris and Milan. And for beauty lovers like us, it’s basically the gift that keeps on giving. Not only are we gifted a slew of new runway trends, but the FROW is also equally as generous with celebs serving non-stop, killer looks.
This past week, we also had the Emmys, when all of our fave celebs stepped out giving major glam. So, needless to say, there’s been so many delish new trends that we’ve pinned for our fall mood boards, and dw, we don’t gatekeep. So without further ado, here are seven fall hair trends we know you’ll LOVE!

However, two years ago, teens on TikTok declared the side part officially canceled, labeling it peak “millennial culture” and “soooo totally lame.” Well, we’re to tell you it’s officially back, despite the slanderous TikTok comments, and we’re SO here for it.

Whether you have curly, straight, or wavy hair, it looks great on everyone and flatters all face shapes and hair textures. Over the past few weeks, celebs like Bella and Kylie have been experimenting with spiked accents and edges. It’s giving Y2K punk-girl energy, and we’re low-key obsessed. It was confirmed as an official fall hair trend when we saw it all over the runway at Jason Wu during NYFW.
Our fave thing about this hairstyle is, once again, the versatility. Whether you want to add a spiked accent to your bangs a la Kylie Jenner or to Bantu knots, or even just a low bun, it’ll instantly add a cool-girl vibe to your look.

If you’re wondering how to achieve spiked-out edges, don’t worry, it’s easier than it looks. The world’s obsession with Serena Williams has reached new heights (as if that’s even possible) with the release of the biopic King Richard that followed the beginning of her career. If you haven’t seen it yet, add it to your list STAT. Not only is the film ahhhmazing, but the soundtrack was written by the Queen Bee, or Queen Bae as we like to call her. If you’re wondering why we’re giving you this intel, well, it’s because Serena’s ICONIC beaded hairstyle that she wore during her first US Tennis Open is everywhere RN. They were seen in the film, during Beyoncé’s historic Oscars performance, and then once again during Serena’s last tennis championship, not on Serena herself, but on her adorable daughter Olympia, AKA her biggest cheerleader.

Needless to say, the world let out a communal tear when Serena hung up her tennis racket for the last time, and fans everywhere have been paying tribute to her career with beaded hairstyles, including celebs like Gabrielle Union and the actresses who played Serena and Venus in the biopic.

Well, once again, thanks to the reality star and her ride-or-die hairstylist, Chris Appleton, the slicked-back bun has been shook up, with an undone edge. Now, it’s easier to achieve than ever – it kinda looks like she just threw up her hair, and yet we’re so into it. It adds a casual, laid-back IDGAF energy to an otherwise polished look. Lizzo and Kerry Washington rocked the same twisted updo and we next saw the trend at NYFW on the runway of Naeem Khan… we spy a trend. The twisted topknot is officially making a comeback. The hairstyle is soft, glamorous, super chic, and yet low-maintenance, AKA our fave combo. It’s also perfect for no-wash days when you want to look put together, but CBA to heat style. Expect us to be slaying this style all holiday season.

This time around, the wet look is being worn slicked back and straight, sans parting.
