7 New Drugstore Eyeshadow Palettes Worth Your $$$
Bougie makeup drops can make your heart skip a beat, but when a budget-friendly brand throws you a money-saving bone it feels like Christmas. That basically makes today the Christmas of all Christmases. We’ve rounded up seven new-to-the-market, high-quality eye shadow palettes you can pick up for real cheap online, at Ulta, Target, or at your favorite drugstore. Let us know which ones catch your eye the most.
1. Morphe Jewel Tone Just a Crush Artistry Palette, $12
Of course Morphe just launched four new eyeshadow palettes in time for the holidays, and of course, each costs less than $15 bucks. The launch is exclusive to Ulta, and each of the four palettes features a different color scheme with nine shadows. We’re partial to the purple/pink Jewel Tone Just a Crush palette, which houses colors ranging from matte peach and shimmering plum magenta to matte red sangria. The other three palettes are Cool Tone So Chill (blues/grays), Nude Palette Neutral Territory (browns/beiges), and Warm Neutral Painted Desert (creams, coppers, and reds).
2. NYX Love Lust Disco Shadow Palette, $20
NYX also just debuted a series of palettes specifically for the holidays. The limited-edition collection consists of three distinct palettes — each inspired by 1970s glamour — with a mix of 10 velvety, hyper-pigmented powders in matte, shimmer, and metallic finishes. There’s Livin’ Lavish (a luxe assortment of golden hues), Miss Robot (silver), and then Rosé and Play (rose golds).
3. ColourPop Midnight Masquerade Pressed Powder Palette, $22
Calling all Disney fans: get yourself over to a soft surface because you might just faint over ColourPop’s most recent Disney-inspired drop. The Midnight Masquerade palette, which hit stores October 7, contains 15 shadows in buttery mattes, lux metals, and sparkling pressed glitter finishes. The packaging is gorgeous and features eight of your favorite Disney princesses. The shadow names have us swooning, too. For example, there’s Spinning Wheel (opal with pink flip), Floating Lantern (rosy copper with lavender glitter), Mrs. Potts (antique yellow gold, naturally!), Frog & Wife (hunter green), and Gaston (true crimson), to name a handful.
4. Makeup Revolution Forever Flawless Chilled With Cannabis Sativa, $15
You don’t have to be into weed, cannabis, or CBD to dig Makeup Revolution’s newest palette. It’s an earthy green-leaning collection of 18 shadows that have each been infused with cannabis sativa seed oil. No, you’re not going to get high using this product, but rather the cannabis adds a nourishing, hydrating quality to each shadow. The packaging feels retro-fab thanks to the rainbow-colored weed plants sprawled across.
5. C’Est Moi Envision Eyeshadow Palette, $17
If you’ve been searching for a budget-friendly palette of neutral hues, C’Est Moi’s Envision Eyeshadow Palette could be it. The new palette, available at Target, features six neutral shades perfect for all your slightly enhanced (or even no-makeup makeup) looks. We love that the shadows are formulated with sensitive skin types in mind, as well. They’re made with natural and organic ingredients (including kaolin clay, mica, and squalane), and are free of synthetic fragrances, dyes, and silicones.
6. Milani Gilded Noir Eyeshadow Palette, $20
Milani proves that you can have a hella accessible price tag and top quality, too. Even pro makeup artists swear by this drugstore brand, so we were pretty excited to hear that they dropped five new eyeshadow palettes in September. It’s hard to pick a favorite from the Gilded collection, but we’re leaning toward Noir, a vampy set of 16 shadows that’s bound to bring the drama with colors like Twisted (a metallic forest green), Gasp (a sparkly midnight blue), and Dark Side (matte black). It also has a few lighter shades, including champagne and rose gold, to help build looks.
7. Rachel Zoe X Lorac Hollywood Glamour Mini Palette: Golden Eyes, $15
Glitter fiends, we found you a new palette! Lorac collaborated with Rachel Zoe to bring the beauty world one of the chicest new palettes we’ve seen in a while: the Hollywood Glamour Mini Palette (Golden Eyes). This six-piece set is packed with an unapologetic amount of shimmer. Hues include Applique (bronze shimmer), Gilded (glittery gold), Emerald (deep green shimmer), Filigree (peachy/orange gold), Gold Leaf (warm gold), and pearl (shimmery champagne). It all comes wrapped up in a gilded zebra compact with an interior mirror.
