My All Time Favorite Makeup Products of 2018
Hey my loves! I swear every year, I feel as if my beauty cabinet couldn’t get any fuller, but then SO many dope new products drop and I just have to have them all – and obviously try them, so I can help you guys find the best products! Tbh, my fave thing about the beauty industry is that it’s always creating amazing new products and revolutionary new formulas, so your beauty game is constantly evolving. Here are my fave products of 2018:
Best Eyeliner: Fenty Beauty Flyliner Longwear Liquid Eyeliner
Source: Fenty Beauty
I’ve been a loyal fan of the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner pretty much ever since its release, but Rihanna’s Fenty Flyliner has now claimed my number one spot! It’s just SO good! The application is steady and smooth (it doesn’t drag at all) and it glides onto your lid with the super flexible tip. The tip is also really fine, so you can extend the wing into a very precise cat eye. Plus, the formula is highly pigmented, so it easily applies over a shimmer shadow, which is a must for me. This eyeliner ticks every box. Read my full review here.

Best Concealer: Huda Beauty Overachiever
This concealer literally has SUCH a huge place in my heart – my team and I spent so much time, effort (and money lol) perfecting the formula for you guys, and IMHO, it’s the concealer of all concealers! It offers insane coverage and has a luminous matte finish, so it looks super natural! It also contains green tea extract, and moisturizing Jericho Rose extract to help soothe puffy or dark under eyes. Find out more about the concealer here.

Best Mascara: L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara
Source: L’Oreal
Admittedly (as you guys could probably guess) I’m a false lash lover, but this mascara is honestly amazing! When we spoke to Beyoncé’s makeup artist, Sir John, he agreed, telling us it’s his go-to mascara as it gives your lashes a super feathery finish while adding serious volume. All I’m saying is, if it’s good enough for the Queen Bee, it’s more than good enough for me!

Best Brow Product: Benefit Gimme Brow Volumizing Brow Gel & Dior Backstage Pros All-In-One Brow 3D
Source: Benefit, Dior
Anyone who knows me, knows I’m obsessed with my brows! I could literally spend hours grooming, tweezing, and of course, styling them, so I couldn’t choose just one brow product of the year. It was a toss-up between the perfect powder I use to fill in my brows and my fave little brow brush that I carry with me to keep them in place at all times!
The Dior Palette has two brow shades so you can easily contour your brows for a really natural looking, full brow. I love that there’s a waterproof wax formula to tame and set brows in place and that the shadow is heavily pigmented to help you create a very bold brow if you want to. The brow kit also comes with three application tools and a mirror, so it’s perfect for when you’re on the go. I like to use the Benefit Gimme Brow Brush before I fill my brows in to hold my hairs in place, and sometimes again at the end for extra hold. The shade range is awesome too (eight shades), it’s also the perfect product to use on its own if you’re opting for a more natural look.

Best Foundation: Touche Eclat All-In-One Glow Foundation

YSL’s Touché Eclat concealer is a cult classic, so I had very high expectations for the foundation, and it didn’t disappoint. For a lightweight foundation, it covered my imperfections so well, and better yet, it remained flawless all dong long – I was SO impressed. The formula also has SPF 23 protection and is non-comedogenic, so it won’t block pores. It also lived up to the name “touch of radiance” as it left my skin looking super glowy, even after powder. If you have oily skin, I definitely recommend setting this with a powder to avoid midday shine. Check out my full review here.

Best Eyeshadow Palette: Lunar Beauty Life’s A Drag
From the second I saw this palette, I had even more respect for Manny MUA – the color spectrum is so bold and brave. Once I tried the formulas, I fell in love – the mattes are crazy pigmented, and I love that you can use this like an artist to combine and create your own shades. The shimmers are stunning and so rich, and they look so pretty on the inner corner of the eye. I also love that he included a white and black shade to intensify and enhance your looks, as it just adds to the versatility of the palette. It was an unexpected palette, but one that you can create both everyday and playful looks with. Read my full review here.

Best Setting Powder: Easy Bake Setting Powder
I’ve got to say, I couldn’t live without my Huda Beauty Easy Bake Setting Powder. Firstly, my team and I wanted to create a diverse shade range, so that everyone could find a setting powder to match their undertone and give a perfectly airbrushed finish. All eight shades help to give you a filtered IRL look, and because of the shade diversity, as well as using it as a setting powder for your entire face, you can also use different shades to contour, bake, and brighten your under eyes.

Best Makeup Brushes: Real Techniques Instapop Collection
If there’s one brand I know I can always rely on, it’s Real Techniques. Their brushes are always high quality, affordable (usually around $10 or less for sets), and amazing for makeup application. I’m obsessed with the Real Techniques Instapop range as they give you such an airbrushed finish! The eyeshadow brushes blend really well, and you can create an entire look with just two brushes, which is pretty major. Plus, they don’t cause a lot of product fallout. The Instapop cheek brush gives you the most popping color in just one swipe (your highlighter game is about to get lit), but it can also double as a contour brush. I’m also obsessed with the face brush; I use it for everything from contouring, baking, and bronzing. It’s a total lifesaver. Check out my full review and tips here.

Best Highlighter Palette: Ofra Glow Up
In the last few months I’ve really fallen in love with this palette. The highlighter is so DOPE, it’s so heavily pigmented and leaves your cheekbones looking lit AF. The shades are super versatile too, so they’ll look good on all skin tones. I’ve been using it everywhere – on my cheekbones, under the brow bone, on my Cupid’s bow, even as an eyeshadow palette!
