Hourglass global director of education, artistry, and events, Marc Reagan, is kind of a big deal. When he’s not hanging with Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Olivera Palermo, you can catch him behind-the-scenes, playing with palettes and slaying the makeup game. Before he touches cosmetics, however, he turns to these skin savers:

Tatcha Luminous Deep Hydration Firming Eye Serum, $95: Treating the under-eye area is essential to any makeup application and I like this serum because it has a lightweight texture that helps boost the hydration levels under the eyes. This is such a delicate area so you need something that’s easily absorbed but also ensures that any foundation or concealer doesn’t crease.

Hourglass Equilibrium Day Fluid Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen, $115: I usually keep this lightweight moisturizer in my kit because it absorbs into the skin immediately. It’s a quick, easy way to give the surface of the skin a boost of hydration and that’s typically what most people need for a seamless makeup application.

Celebrity makeup artist Tim Quinn enhances the flawless faces of mega babes like Shanina Shaik, Zoey Deutch, and Dianna Agron on the reg (while creating magic over at Armani Beauty), so quality skincare products are nonnegotiable on-set for him. Here’s what he loves:

Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels, $30: I always start with the eyes on set, so that you don’t have any fall off later. I stick these cooling eye gels on when I’m beginning the lids – they hydrate, plump, and firm up the skin beneath the eye and keep this area as a clean canvas so it’s ready for concealer. With hi-def cameras, you don’t want to cake on under-eye makeup because it will show, so having that little boost is a major help. I also mix the Armani Prima Eye & Lip Contour Perfector, $70, with my concealer to keep the patch under the eyes (and around the lips) smooth.

Giorgio Armani Crema Nera Extrema Supreme Recovery Oil, $420: A bit of a splurge yes, but I always have this with me on set. I love to massage it into the client’s skin by blending a drop or two into my favorite moisturizer. By blending these two products together, they instantly revive the skin while adding a subtle glow that doesn’t cause slip under makeup. I also love to keep a simple micellar water in my kit to cleanse and remove makeup.

One scroll through MUA to the stars Jose Corella’s Insta feed and you’ll see he works with just about every mega model on the planet. So obviously bae knows how to prime skin for the ‘gram. When it comes to skincare must-haves on set, he swears by the following:

Milk Makeup Cooling Water, $24: This is best for under the eyes as it helps rehydrate and soothe tired peepers with caffeine and seawater.

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask, $20: You always need a mask that gets your lips prepped for forthcoming lip products! It’s super moisturizing and great on its own, or overnight.

TV and Film MUA: Tanya Deemer

When Tanya Deemer (TEMPTU global educator) is on a film or television job, or face beating queens during Fashion Month, she always has these skincare stars on hand:

TEMPTU Base Primer, $25: I mix this with a couple drops of the S/B Mixing Medium, $25. The benefits of cocktailing these two products together are the oil-free, skin smoothing, and moisturizing factors, and then your skin is really ready to show off the hi-def benefits of Temptu’s Airbrush Foundation, $48. The makeup stays put and sits right on top of the skin’s surface, in a perfect veil of coverage for the camera.

Eminence Organics Hibiscus Ultra Lift Eye Cream, $96: When I need extra moisture under the eyes (that won’t affect the makeup going on top of them), my go-to is this eye cream for its lifting, tightening, and de-puffing abilities.

StackedSkincare Hyaluronic Acid Champaca Hydrating Serum, $130: Amazing for all skin types and it absorbs nicely into the face. I apply that before the TEMPTU Base Primer.

Celebrity Groomer: Marissa Machado

If celebrity groomer Marissa Machado can get her famous boys to get it together in the skincare department, you know she’s doing something – and using something – right. When primping Joe and Nick Jonas, Zachary Levi, or Charlie Puth, she relies on these:

Kosasport LipFuel Hyaluronic Lip Balm, $18: Shiny lips can be too much for me so this balm is a definite go-to. The sheer shade goes on smooth and locks in moisture, while protecting lips from the environment with its vitamins and natural oils, leaving your pout hydrated – not shiny.

Dior BACKSTAGE Face & Body Foundation, $40: This foundation goes on flawless and has a buildable application. It can be used to cover small blemishes, or over greater areas. I like to mix with a bit of moisturizer to sheer the coverage and apply with a beauty blender for a fresh finish.
