Amidst everything that’s going on right now, one thing that continues to brighten our day is the world of beauty. And since you’re probably staying indoors, now is your best opportunity to play and experiment with makeup. Not to mention it will also boost your mood, as there are so many biological benefits of getting creative. Plus, there’s nothing more satisfying than conquering a new makeup look.

So, now really is the time to try all of those “out there,” crazy makeup looks that you love on Instagram but have never worn yourself. We’re talking pearl adorned liner, rainbow shades, and pastel brows. To give you some major inspo, we’ve curated the ultimate mood board of makeup looks you need to play with.

For some, rocking up to the office wearing rainbow lids would have been a no-go, but brightening up your Zoom sessions with multicolored lids is totally acceptable! Plus, as you no longer have a morning commute, there’s more time to get creative and most importantly, blend for a seamless finish.

Nail art is one of 2020’s biggest trends, so as you’d expect, there’s been a lot of messaging shared on people’s fingertips. Our favorite is from celebrity manicurist @nailsbymei who continues to spread the important message to her followers.

Over the past year, the beauty world has become obsessed with pearls. We’ve been adding them to our braids, our scrunchies, and of course, our makeup. To experiment with this trend, you can buy mini pearls from Amazon.

5. Geometric Eyeshadow

This mint look is giving us galactic barbie vibes and we’re so here for it. The exaggerated wing is easier to recreate than you may think: Pack the eyeshadow onto the lid in a triangular shape, then neaten up the edges using a Q-tip and some micellar water for a crisp finish. You can also apply tape to refine your shape before you apply eyeshadow.

6. Bright Block Lids

If you’re looking for a quick pick me up, it’s time to play with some eye-popping shades. Simply find the brightest hue you have, then using a small dense brush, pack the pigment onto your lid by pressing it into your skin. We love how Celine has also added a touch of glitter, because why TF not?

For a really dramatic look, play with crisp edges to really make the color pop. Our tip is to use liquid eyeshadows, like our Melted Shadows, to avoid fallout and pack a punch with pigment.

7. Neon Everything

If there’s one shade that will instantly liven up your day, it’s neon. So, take note from Nyma Tang and go ALL in with a monochromatic neon look. Now is the time to test and play!

8. Colored Brows

This look is SO dreamy and we’re seeing lots of #LockdownLooks with people matching their eyeshadow and brows (even their hair), and we love it! We’re obsessed with how @mmmitchell has opted for a pretty pastel shade for ultimate spring vibes.

9. Floating Liner

Floating eyeliner has been a reoccurring trend for years and if you’re yet to try it, now is the time. Whether you opt for geometric patterns or curved lines, make sure you use a small brush that will give you precision. Liquid eyeshadows and colored liquid liners like the Fenty Vivid Liquid Eyeliners are great to work with for this look.

10. Face Art

Why limit your creativity to your lids? Add fun patterns and symbols to your cheekbones like @iamkareno. It’s giving us major Euphoria vibes. We’re also crushing on those lime green lids.
