Magician MUA Val Garland Goes To Slay At L’Oréal
Makeup aficionados, the beauty universe just received some very exciting news! Our long-term MUA crush and makeup legend, Val Garland, has been sprinkling her magic along the runways, on magazine covers, and on celebrities for decades, and now she’s joining L’Oréal Paris as their global makeup director.
Excited is an understatement. Val has been responsible for some seriously iconic beauty looks: glitter eyeshadow, flower face painting, Lady Gaga’s prosthetic Born This Way cheekbone look, and most recently #SnoggedLips. Her penchant for color and her inspirational creativity is second-to-none. She’s worked on the runways of Preen, Erdem, Alexander McQueen and Mary Katrantzou, to name a few, and on countless fashion editorials with photographers like Mario Testino. Now she’s bringing her creative touch to the product innovation and beauty direction at L’Oréal.
