Hey my loves! I’m so excited to tell you guys about an exciting new formula we have developed for a product that is very close to my heart: our Huda Beauty Lip Contour! Our Lip Contours were our first-ever color product – we were literally just a lash brand before – and making these products was a HUGE risk for our company at the time as we had to invest everything we had in them. I remember mixing the colors up at home – shades I was obsessed with – and searching high and low for a manufacturer who would turn them into dreamy, smooth lip pencils.

I wanted to create a really comfortable formula that would literally last through anything (I’m a messy eater). I cannot believe that was five years ago, and since then we’ve had a lot of feedback; people wanted self-sharpening, even creamier, and even longer-lasting. So as always, we thought we should at least try and see if we could make the product you guys love even better. So, meet our Lip Contour 2.0, AKA the most amazing lip liner I’ve ever tried! It’s SO creamy, even smoother, so light and so long-lasting, and of course, it’s self-sharpening.

The NEW Formula:

Our reinvented Lip Contour 2.0 is the same velvety matte lip pencil you know and love, this time with the most buttery-soft formula that glides on effortlessly to easily define your lips. In our previous formula, we used a type of wax that helped make it long-lasting, but we found a softer replacement that just feels so light on your lips and wears even longer! We also added a nourishing complex of soybean and licorice to naturally plump your pout while keeping it creamy and comfortable.

Our new, highly-pigmented Lip Contour 2.0 literally lasts all day – 9 hours to be exact – and is also completely transfer-proof and waterproof. Prepare for a fuller-looking pout that feels super comfortable and lasts through it all!

Why we changed the formula:

In the last five years, beauty and technology have evolved so much and so has my knowledge of making products! We took all your feedback on board and decided we wanted to make an even better version of the cult-favorite product that you guys love.

We also revamped the packaging to make it all the same shade as the pencil, that way it makes it even easier to quickly and easily grab your shade. We chose to do a twist-up style pencil so it’s easier to use (your request!) and there’s even a tiny sharpener at the other end so you can always have it as sharp as you like.

The Shades

Our initial offering had so many gorgeous shades but we wanted to simplify our shade offering to make it easier for you guys to choose a shade. Originally, we paired the shades with our Liquid Mattes, but now we have so many new lipstick formulas that we wanted to ensure you can get the tone that matches whatever lipstick you have. So, we refined the collection with new shades that would work with our OG liquid lipstick shades but also our newer lip products and any future products.

How To Use Lip Contour 2.0

• Assess the areas you want to contour (add more volume, tweak the shape, etc)
• Take your Lip Contour 2.0, draw an “X” on your Cupid’s bow to create the arc, then line the bottom center of your lips
• Connect it at the corners to create a full lip line – if you overline a little bit, go slow and build up!
• Fill in with the lip product of your choice 

My Tips:

• Prep your lips with WISHFUL’s Yo Glow Enzyme Scrub for soft, s.mooth lips
• Next, apply a bit of foundation to create the perfect canvas for Lip Contour 2.0 application
• Wear Lip Contour 2.0 on its own with a touch of Silk Balm for a natural dewy effect or layer your fave new Power Bullet Cream Glow lipstick on top for irresistable shine and nourishing hydration.
